LSU beat us in every possible way except the score. Mett played the game of his career. It just was not enough. Props to LSU.

Luck had little to nothing to do with it. Bama's D came up with some big stops to force field goal attempts or fakes at times when LSU had somewhat short fields to work with. This came on a night when the Tide had a hard time getting off the field on defense thanks in part to the solid play by LSU's offense and unusually sloppy tackling by the Tide. The biggest detriment to Bama's D was the constant three and outs forced by the Tigers defense in the second half.
Still, when the game was on the line AJ and the Tides offense came through and insured we went to 9-0 and got one step closer to the SEC championship game.
