That's his coach. He was the coach this past year when he led the SEC in recieving...

ETA: His QB was also able to manage leading the SEC in throwing it to the other team

neither did reggie torbor or quenten groves, but both (especially torbor) have had solid NFL carriers as hybrid DE/LBs.

And coleman's the best of the three, IMO... I think he'll have a chance in the bills 3-4 to make the team and contribute.

BTW, ACs one hell of a guy... he basically raised his five brothers and sisters growing up... his mom died when he was young. Whatever the guy accomplishes, he's got my respect.

This doesn't just count for AC though, this goes for all college defensive ends making the transition to outside linebacker.

true but many of them have some experience at LB or they showed in drills well.

But many have shown/have the athleticism to make the switch, AC was tried at OLB at the Senior Bowl and quickly was moved back to DE.

Groves has been a bust so far.

Torbor is an ILB.

true, but he wasn't near the complete DL that coleman is/was.... my opinion, of course.... hell, coleman subbed for Groves in 2007 and played better as a soph than he did as a senior (groves was banged up).

Coleman has been hurt some and wasn't able to show much during his pro day.... but he'll get his chance.

I would've still drafted him FWIW.

If Tim Tebone can get drafted by my Broncos in the first round, then AC could at least go in the 7th.

Groves had anything but a "solid" career in JAX. And he was strictly a DE there. They didn't painstakingly trade him to Oakland...

that makes sense. That's why they weren't sure how the translation would go because he wasn't able to do drills.

Tobor played the same position in college (SDE) that Coleman played.... and tobor played the outside in NY, I believe.

Groves was in the wrong system in jax.... the raiders fits him better.

They run a 4-3, so he had to be a defensive end.

So Oakland's 4-3 is better than JAX's 4-3?

3 sacks in 34 games= bust imho.

I actually disagree. Groves will probably fit the 3-4 scheme that they will run at times.

That's my point, he hasn't played the hybrid position...

oakland will run some 3-4 I think but like you said they will mostly run a 4-3.
