A story of redemption about a convict (Ole Miss) who gets tired of taking it in the arse from a group of other convicted criminals (Bama/Auburn/MSU/etc) while in prison (The SECW), so he crawls out of a shitehole (The State of Mississippi) to freedom (Mythical National Championship).

Unlike the dude who broke out, he was in the right. The crooked warden is Bjork, Freeze and everyone associated with OM.

Yeah? Well the movie has a serious plot hole anyway... wrongly convicted Andy spends years digging a tunnel to freedom, hiding his work under a large picture of Rita Hayworth. Come escape day, Andy crawls his way towards the outside world – but not before perfectly replacing the poster on the wall to mask his escape route. All from inside the tunnel.

OM program will have to crawl thru shite, for a long time due to sanctions, scholarship reductions and recruiting limitations before reaching cleaner water.
* Added:
Once free, Andy reaches his final destination and works on an old piece of shite boat to help pass the time.
Once OM reaches freedom, they become a "rent-a-win" program for teams outside the SEC (OM will need the money for their budget) and will be homecoming opponents for everyone else in the SEC.
