You cant use titles in one sport for ranking and alltime wins in the other 2.
Lsu basketball has as many elite 8 appearances as bama has sweet 16 appearances. Lsu has more conference titles ( not bull shite tourney titles when teams rest starters).
I dont even need to mention baseball.
What does all of that shite have to do with anything? I was responding to a post that said Bama has only ever been good at one men's sport.

That is incorrect. Let's not play the official record shell game. Let's do the only thing that really counts, and that is game record.
Also, no matter how you shuffle the #'s, Yale doesn't have as many total wins as Michigan. I'm not sure how you came up with that.
Here is a correct calculation of total wins, not win percentage.
This is misleading though, and is why winning percentage is a much more accurate determination of sustained excellence.
As examples, Yale had a 20 year jump on Alabama playing football and has played a total of 62 more games.
Michigan had a 13 year head start and has played 40 more games.
Notre Dame had a five year advantage and Alabama is only four total wins away from overtaking them in the total wins category.
Winning percentage, therefore, becomes much more reliable when you have teams with such varied historical beginnings.
Below is a winning percentage calculation, of games played, by 1A teams who have been in the NCAA and Div-1A for at least 50 years.
Boise State failed to meet my own 50 year guideline so I cut them out. They didn't join the NCAA until 1969 and didn't move up to what we call FBS, old Div. 1A, until 1996.
Otherwise, they list at #4, ahead of Ohio State. I just don't believe they deserve that kind of honor or recognition though.

Cool. Since you admit you play NCAA football you now realize your error. Bama has no national titles in NCAA FOOTBALL.

If you are named #1 by either the AP or the Coaches/UPI, you can claim an NC. Not sure how many of those bama has but it's not 15.

Anyone that gives a frick about national titles before they were born (let alone before they became a fan) is a miserable person with a miserable life. I get absolutely no happiness about our 57 NC.
