I think the repercussions may loom larger in that a one-loss SEC team may be left out of the BCSCG next year. So Bama needs to take care of business for the league

I respectfully disagree--ND has a very good shot at winning the NC. Its going to be a heavy-weight fight for 4 Quarters.

The Anericans could never beat the Russians in hockey.

Is that way they rank ahead of us in total defense, and rush defense? Idiot.

I can't help but think Notre Dame is a team of destiny...sometimes you just can't overcome the Fates.

Seriously though, this is stupid. ND has a chance. Bama isn't as good as they were last year or 3 years ago.

I give them about a 3.5% chance of winning.

Still more realistic than 0%.

Yep. I'm not giving up hope even though the chances are slim.

Bama getting to double digit NC's would be unbearable.

Just like everyone said about LSU and Florida's bowl games?? Yeah...okay, ND has no shot.

Unless some folks forgot, Bama was VERY close to a 3 loss season and got lucky that wasn't the case for them. This team is not even close to last years team on D.... i'm still picking Bama, but this will not be as lopsided as some are predicting.

Saw tons of the Catholics vs Cousins shirts last night. None of the mobile home ones though.

And BTW, ND definitely has a shot in this game. Their fans believe it as well. I didn't think so a few weeks ago, but now I am convinced ND has a shot to win this game. It is going to be very close IMO.

Agreed. They "lost" to the two best teams they played and should have lost to Pitt. Will be a cake wall for Bama.

I don't like the overwhelming sense of inevitability of a Bama victory. This article pretty much sums up exactly how I feel:
