Trying to have reasonable football discussion with Gump fans = Hiring a midget, giving him a hammer, spreading your legs and let him run back and fourth under your legs Going all "Pinata" on your balls.

Alabama's losses under Saban usually come to a great QB, Spread offense, or a QB playing out of his mind, or special teams disasters. Sometimes some combination of these factors.

See '07,'10,'11 LSU games. None of the above applies. LSU just beat 'Bama straight up, dominating the line of scrimmage at critical times and making plays. If LSU defeats 'Bama it will likely be because they outplayed them.

That's a pretty specific comparison.

The red team is banged up - maybe more than a bye can help with their LT.

The red team has already been wounded - by Bro Wallace, for heavens' sake.

The red team has everything to lose.

The red team does not have a world-class running game.

The red team has a singular receiving threat.

The red team's QB is nothing special.

The red team does not have a suffocating D.

The red team's coach has shown chinks in the brain.

Tigers can win this: run the ball, tough D, mistake-free ST, no turnovers, low error-rate - pretty simple.

Honestly, I'm pretty concerned about this game. Blake hasn't shown a whole lot of discipline on the road and playing in Tiger Stadium at night is a tall order. It will probably be another typical UA/LSU slobber knocker. I do think that Bama has more potential to hit the big play though. That could be the difference.

Perhaps. Cooper is an amazing athlete. He very nearly burned LSU over the top in the 2012 game, if not for a dropped pass. Our defense better blanket him, somehow.

I look forward to a classic that will go deep into the chilly night- with a 100% chance of alcohol.

Because your beloved 'tahd' has a much better team and one of the greatest college FB coaches of all time. What else needs to be said?

There has been SO many off season topics on tRant lately. What gives?

He looked good in that 21-0 loss.

Arkansas has the rushing attack most comparable to LSU.

Why not comparable to Tennessee? Oh, I know why.

I just can't wait till the game. All the things you talk about remind me of how Ole Miss just thought all the matchups were in favor of them... Bla Bla Bla. Just get ready for the most hostile environment in sports this weekend. It's gonna be wild.
Is it gonna be louder and wilder than Saban's first return to Tiger Stadium back in 2008?

Probably. How loud we can keep it depends upon how well the Tigers play. Just a fact.

I am not concerned in the slightest. I actually believe Bama will win by 2 TD+. They will limit LSU rush and we know there is no fast paced or dynamic passing game. Alabama will be able to move the ball against the Tiggers. The funny part will be watching as all the LSU fans say Miles got out coached again and all other fan bases say LSU has 3 losses and sucked anyway. Nothing like weekly message board flip flopping. Pretty sure there were no excuses or built in But Ifs in my post

PS. I will post following the game and say I told you so or simply I was wrong and congratulate the winner.

No way LSU scores 14 points (unless we throw 2 pic 6's). Your offense is one dimensional and we ain't UGA

Not a drop. An overthrow by AJ. Woulda been 6. I will say, Coop has never done much against LSU. If only we had Norwood Saturday.

Jennings will not have the game of his life, or anyone else's for that matter. So if we can't do what Florida did to Georgia, then we won't win. End of story!
