Serious question: Why was the LSU vs UF game rescheduled for Baton Rouge, rather

than at UF?
Not trying to get a rise out of anybody, but I just didn't pay that much attention to all the hoopla about the game, and am curious why it isn't being played at UF.

Because it is only fair that Florida loses two home games this season.

Because the SEC commisioner is a gutless hack.

Because every school affected by a hurricane MUST have its home game relocated to Baton Rouge.

Because Bama is scared of UF and they put the REC on the problem.

Truth: LSU wants an advantage. Feigning how UF is chicken and scared and posting "UForfeit" are just attempts to hide what they really want.
tRant: UForfeit was scared and frick them for being pussies during a thunderstorm. Frick their jorts, too.

Let's see. We had historic flooding in Baton Rouge and didn't want to lose a home game and lose out on the income a home game will bring to local businesses due to Florida's incompetence/shady fricking ways

Florida was effected directly by a hurricane.
LSU whined to the SEC until they postponed the game, Florida was ready to play at the scheduled time and location.

I understand you can't read being from Arkansas and all but they do have audio sound bites of the real story

The real question is why did Carolina have to give up a home game and revenue for the area after their historic flooding last year?

Dale, just damn.
I swear if you catch one with that bait I'll lose all hope in the LSU fan base.

Florida. Not Gainesville. Then why did they cancel it. Spin your bullshite somewhere else

Florida didn't cancel it.
LSU whined about having to play on a wet field until the SEC office postponed it.

Because LSU wouldn't play the game anywhere but BR this year and UF NEEDS to play this game for a chance to play in Atlanta. Pretty much because the state of LA is broke. At least UF still negotiated back to back home games in 2017 and 2018 though.

TRUTH really is LSU offered to Play Sunday, Monday Tuesday at UF
TRUTH- UF coach did not want to play LSU that week as his team was not healthy and he wanted time to heal.
Everything else is after the fact.

Ok, so I'll take a shot at giving you an ACTUAL answer. After Florida decided not to play the game at any point during the October 8-9-10 period (people can decide for themselves whether that was a reasonable decision or not), there were no truly good alternatives left. Without moving the SEC Championship Game or the Cocktail Party, which apparently turned out to be non-starters, the only possible makeup date was 11/19--and even that required each school to cancel a non-conference game and buy out an opponent. Given that, LSU refused to be placed at a substantial financial or competitive disadvantage because of an initial decision to cancel the game, which they disagreed with and thought was avoidable in the first place. If the game were to be played in Gainesville on 11/19, the Baton Rouge community (which has been really hurt by historic flooding this year) would lose the millions of dollars that come with a home game, AND LSU would end their season by playing 3 SEC road games in 12 days. So the decision was made to play in Baton Rouge this year and Gainesville next year. Each school thus loses one home game overall--Florida in 2016 and LSU in 2017.
Hope that helps to shed some light on the situation.

Because making amateur student athletes play three conference road games in 13 days is laughable.

Because Florida chose to cancel the week before. They don't get to choose the terms of rescheduling.

Lsu traveled to Arizona after Katrina, rescheduled north Texas during a mutual bye week, and then moved Tennessee to Monday's night after Rita. They bleeping moved heaven and earth after two direct hits within a month. FL ran out the clock and refused to entertain any alternatives cause a hurricane hugged the coast, it was f-ing ridiculous. Screw em that's why.
