We'd beat them 63-7 in a rematch. But we can't go back and fix what happened. We can only do better next week.
Btw, We punted one time all game.

Exactly. It was one of those freak things that doesn't happen very often. I just don't believe we are as bad, on defense especially, as that game showed.

Maybe when Eli Manning's first son turns 21. They might be in the running then.

Well we shut it down at half time. The defense came into this season overrated, but we were playing second stringers before Jax State had given up on the game. It's like Nick Saban says, "Make his arse quit!"
You don't call off the dogs until the other team has given up. That's why we lost. That's why teams beat these FCS schools 72-0.

This coming weekend will show if Ole Miss has problems. This past game was just one of those freak accident kind of things. If Ole Miss was to play that game again tomorrow, they would win it I think. I just don't believe Ole Miss is as bad as that game showed....offensively or defensively.
I agree with this to a certain extent....next week will be very telling of 2010 OM football. I expect them to win no matter what, but if it's kinda a back and forth with Tulane, it's gonna be a long season for OM. If its a blowout before the half (which I'm leaning towards), then the JSU game was a fluke.

I'd bet a $1,000 that Ole Miss would win a rematch (or 5 rematches for that matter).
After this week, things will calm down for Ole Miss. In addition, Ole Miss beats someone they shouldn't, I think it is Arkansas or LSU.

Baseball - sometime this decade
Basketball - never
Football - never
While I don't think this game could necessarily be written off as a "fluke", I also don't think y'all are a 2 win team or anything. 6-6 & bowl eligible.

Jacksonville State was a TRAP game, as the unofficial Ole Miss mascot might say.

never. After saturday Id just assume we tell Nix to pack his shite up and leave before this saturday and if we lose 2 out of MSU, Fresno, Vandy, and ULL Ill tell Nutt to pack his shite up too at the end of the year. Losing to Jax State like that theres no fricking excuse for.
