Serious question: I don't understand why we're supposed to be afraid of LSU now

Not Trolling: Can someone explain this to me? LSU probaby won't have a permanent coach until the end of the season, and it's not anywhere near certain that he/she will have a better run than Les Miles. Also, isn't LSU's best player gone after this season? I feel like I should be more scared of Bama, Auburn, and Aggy than LSU.

It's just the new narrative LSU fans are going with. Remember we were all terrified because Harris had progressed, Aranda was the best DC in CFB, Les finally turned the corner, and LSU returned the best team in CFB.

The only thing I'm afraid of is the fallout if the usual Saban to LSU rumors end up being true. With the current political unrest in our country, I don't think we can handle gump riots right now. Hell, the gumps stampede just to get the guy to scribble his name on their T-Shirts. I have family in the southeast US. I don't even want to think about what the gumps will do if Saban betrays them.

Nothing scarier than a team with nothing to lose. Especially when that team is led by a crazy coonass.
