They are struggling right now. New coaches. Not so great recruiting this year. Players leaving, etc.

Everyone knows that will be back in it at some point. My guess would be 4 to 5 years. They don't have a lot to work with right now.

Idk Myles Brennan coming back with a serious wide receiver group will be dangerous next year. It’ll all depend on defense

Probably 2023. LSU will bounce back quickly, they usually do.

They'll prob go 8-4 next season with a tie breaker win over A&M. Then the season after that they'll be back

It’ll take awhile for 6&6 to make it back.

However many games we lose we can always count 8&4 as W for us

I’m thinking 7-5 or 8-4 next year.

Hopefully an increase to 9-10 the following. 2024 would be ideal to have talent and depth to compete for a title.

I think next year, 7-5 or 8-4 is definitely possible, about the same in 2023.

After that they should be contending again for the west and playoff births..

Kelly had won at a high level everywhere he has been.

But he said “serious competitor”.

So I will take a stab.

Kelly is an actual coach.
LSU is an actual program that can win with MilesGeron……championships.

Kelly gets a top 7-10 recruiting class next year.
Kelly pulls a 7-5 season next year unless he HITS a blackjack on the portal. And that blackjack creates a 9-3 season.

2023 will still see Saban and Kirby….so no Atlanta.

2024 a coach or two will have defected. Nothing serious. Kelly will contend with Saban but beating him is another problem.

So yes, 4 years to “contend”. Not win it all.

More trolling/wishful thinking. LSU will be competitive next year and will probably beat 8&4fit again next year.

When did this happen? When he took the LSU job? Six months ago Notre Dame was a joke and Brian Kelly only had a decent record was because of his weak schedule. At least according to 98% of the posters on this site.

I'm not saying he is a bad coach. But you guys are unreal. As soon as someone puts on the LSU colors they suddenly become the best.

The definition of Ironic is Aggies claim the 7OT win as legit but the "Refs" cost them the game in Baton Rouge against LSU's backups and walkons..

Classic..

Man as much as everyone hates A&M being in the SEC besides themselves and a few Bama fans. This kind of nonsense makes it all worth it. The comedy of it.

Well now that they've gotten rid of the toxic QB I think the sky's the limit. Where Did Mad Max end up anyway?

Okay guy.

You’re wanting dates from me so I’m requiring links from you on this 98% that you just came up with.

Pretty sure I can find some Alabama posters that disparaged ND Aaaand OSU in 2020 in their dimwhitted quest to call 2020* the best season ever. (Hint….ya can’t call it the best season ever if you trash your opponents, but we are dealing with the Bama Mensa group, mind you).

Not sure why you're wanting to talk about Alabama when the topic of Kelly being a real coach is what was addressed. Are you saying you have been a fan of Brian Kelly for years? Is it his great offensive philosophy? What is it? Nothing stands out about him that would make him any better than Miles.
