If harris isn't better than Johnson, LSU is seriously fricked again this year.

The confidence by the team and the coaching staff in BH is obvious, based upon the tremendous improvement from last year. It isn't like he just sucked. He was a TF....GEEZ....he wasn't ready last year. Doesn't mean he isn't ready this year. You guys are hilarious. BH has tremendous physical skills, and I'm guessing Cam has done work with him. BH will end up being one of the higher drafted QB's in the SEC when he comes out.

I doubt it. Johnson didn't look special last week.

No shite. He threw 3 interceptions, and could have easily been 5. It wasn't if they were tipped balls and just bad luck. He made horrible reads and throws. This was against Louisville. Imagine what he will look like against our DB's in Tiger Stadium.

Raw talent. We'll see how far it can take him.

Boykin at TCU is similar to Harris. It took him a little time to put it together. I think Harris will take some lumps early, but end up a pretty good QB

We will have proof tomorrow, one way or the other. Thanks for asking. Your fear is showing.

Go see the end of the MS State game last year when state was playing quarters coverage.

Better question: why all the hype for Jeremy Johnson?

He was the ninth rated QB in the 2014 recruiting class. Five other SEC schools recruited a QB that year rated higher ... which doesn't mean much either way.

However, Harris demonstrated some athletic potential in late-game time and against pick-up teams last year, especially against New Mexico State... which coincidentally was murdered again by Florida this year, also with freshmen QBs.

The reason many LSU fans (according to friends) are so enthralled is partly that they have no other choice. The QB cupboard is bare behind him ... due to serious fail in QB recruitment. It will be interesting to see his progression.

In my opinion, his biggest question mark isn't so much knowledge of the playbook, it is seeing if he actually runs the play that is called and not default to ad-lib.

I'm skeptical. I know you can't base anything off one pass, but he did underthrow a wide open Dupre on the only pass you could really judge in the McNeese game. Obviously not what you want to see to start the season, but could end up not foreshadowing what's to come at all. I'll be surprised if he lives up to anywhere near what fans on the rant are predicting, but I think he'll be an improvement over Jennings' performance last year.

He didn't go 3-14 against an Ellis Johnson defense

No, he probally would have redshirted in '14 and would be the starter as a RS So in '16.

We are high on him because he's the only player we have left that hasn't shown that he sucks. If Harris sucks then everyone will all of a sudden be high on mcmillan. That's how it goes.

I've got more passing yards than Harris after Week 1?

Harris has a big arm and sixth sense mobility. I saw him play in HS and he was very good there but that don't mean poo poo in this league...

When he came to LSU he was Manzielish but LSU wants him to be a pocket passer and is trying to coach that out of him.

I keep seeing this and if you watched TV that is what the commentator said. The TV coverage showed Harris and then panned down the field to Dupre at the moment of the catch attempt but they failed to adequately show that Dupre turned around and backpedalled on the ball and it went over his head. Ball was on the money and Dupre made a mistake and misjudged it.

I keep trying to figure out why people say the ball was underthrown when it went over the receivers head...
