If teams are forced to vacate wins that a particular player played in who was later found ineligible due to recruiting violations, why would Florida not be forced to vacate wins when their quarterback tested positive for PEDs?
This isn't a knock but a serious question. Good hard fought win this weekend btw, those in state rivalry games are always tough.

Oh look this thread again

While the exact timing of the drug test for Grier is unknown, or unconfirmed, all accounts seem to suggest action was taken swiftly with regard to Grier’s playing status. That means Florida is not believed to have played Grier while knowing or risking the chance he was actually an ineligible player. Had Florida done that, any game in which Grier merely stepped on the field would be tossed from the win column for the Gators. Grier has played in all six games so far, so that would have dropped the Gators from 6-0 down to 0-0. Remember that vacated wins do not equal losses, so Ole Miss and Tennessee and other victims of Florida to this point would still carry those losses they took.

If you can find evidence that he played a game while on PEDs, then I'm sure the NCAA would gladly take the wins away from UF.

I think the difference is between rules violations that create disparities between teams v rules violations that take place within a team. I'm not positive, but that's my understanding of how things go in different directions.

You just had to throw that last line in there, huh?

That's like saying Southern Miss and MSU are instate rivals.

Oh, wait... 14-14?

Haha this is the SEC rant, had to throw a jab. But in all seriousness, I think yall have a top 5 SEC coach and will see sustained success in the SEC for a while.
On the Grier thing, is it a closed book or is the NCAA still looking into it? If he truly was not aware that he was taking anything illegal, I really feel sorry for him and Florida, because that dude can ball. But then again I retract my statement, can't feel sorry for a dude that is going home to a girl like his.
Speaking of Mississippi schools... State, Ole Miss and Southern are all 8-3. Pretty impressive for a state with a population under 3 million.
