WVU was there and for what it's worth it's only the Penn St frats that give the Kittany Lions a bad rep. The same can't be said for our fans. Although, I'm guessing the writer is talking game time experiences only because imo gumps have distanced themselves as the most arrogant on a day to day basis.

well, it seems natural that you would think this during the time period when that group of people is in direct opposition to yourself and conditions being what they are.

I can agree with this b/c the old bastard that sits beside me at the games almost got his hip broken last weekend b/c he was mouthing off to me over some dumb shite and We root for the same damn team..

I can't opine on Auburn because I haven't been there since 1998, but this statement isn't true of Florida fans any more, in my opinion.
I went to the Swamp every year we played there from 1992 through 2000, and they had some pretty obnoxious folks back then. But when I went back in 2008, they were much, much better behaved. I think getting late in their second decade of continuous and consistent success had matured their younger crowd, who are always the trouble spot in any fan base. By then, the ones who had been young in the '90s and acted obnoxiously had grown older, and the new young group had never known anything but great success for the Gators, so they never had that insecurity that often leads newly-successful teams' fans to become jerks.
