I understand the argument clearly Syracuse football is better than UMASS but check those 3 wins they had last year they beat Villanova by 1 point in overtime at home... and Villanova football = UMASS football

Have I not made myself clear? Last years record means dick in this argument. All that matters is LSU is going to play an away game at Syracuse, a nationally known brand and member of a P5 conference.

Meanwhile, MSU is going to play an away game at UMASS, a Mid-American Conference member who has won a total of 5 games in the 3 seasons they've been a division I school.

The fact you people are still bringing up the record from last year like it's relevant are hilarious.

But last year does not mean shite Cuse might run the table this year and find themselves in the CFB Playoff!

I'm fine. I'm actually laughing that you're still talking about the football teams and not the overall perception of the programs. In terms of scheduling, Syracuse is in a whole other class from UMASS.

This conversation is apparently over your head.

Syracuse averages <40,000 per game, yet they still double UMASS's average attendance.

Cuse still blows

Pretty much, but they were a replacement for another team that dropped off the schedule.

I'm thinking when LSU went to a one off with TCU we had to replace the return game with someone.

In any case the last time LSU played SYR they lost to them in the '89 HOF Bowl. I'm looking forward to a little revenge.

Considering our trainwreck almost beat FSU in Tallahassee with Famous Jameis under center, I think UF certainly can beat FSU in Gainesville this year.

Not so sure. Especially with Everett Golson joining them. Jameis WAS the reason they almost lost.

Syracuse is probably tied with Wake Forest for shittiest team in the ACC. LSU is going to destroy them. Should be a cool road trip, they have a unique stadium

WTH is so bad about Syracuse OOC?

1. Tiger fans get to spend a day or two in NYC
2. National TV exposure
3. Bringing the brand to the Northeast (yes, some blue-chippers do come from here)
4. Allows LSU to get their feet wet in a hostile environment against a team they should beat
5. They get a return home OOC game against a P5 team in the future

Yeah, terrible scheduling...

So they replace Jameis with a guy that turns it over even more
