They just said on ESPN radio that he basically went from an LSU-friendly school to a Bama-friendly school, and he may be academically ineligible.

I'm just hearing about it myself, they sent an investigator to the Florida school I believe. The kid is at Foley high now. Isn't that where Julio went?

Lord knows his previous administrators and coaches tried their hardest to make it difficult for him to transfer.

You are right he is overrated, his nickname in Pensacola, is crystal slippers b/c he has broken both ankles before. If anyone watched the Under Armour game once Jelani Jenkins came up and lit his butt up he ran out of bounds. He only rushed for big yards against the really bad teams in Pensacola, check the stats out agianst the teams with good defenses. Has taken the ACT 5 times, and his highest score is a 16. I 'll take someone like Montgomery anyday, he has a 3.0 with a 1100 on the SAT. He'll need a lot of tutoring and personal help just to stay qualified. Oh, I forgot he is going to BAMA they won't have any trouble keeping him qualified.

Pretty much. Based on the stories the first time this came around, he had all but 0 chance at getting eligible at the the Pensacola school. It didn't sound like his chances are much better in Baldwin, but they were slightly higher than 0 because he could take one more course during the term.
Pensacola coach got butthurt because not only is the kid an Alabama commit, he was also his star player.

Someone may have said they talked with Paige and that they are in Pensacola investigating the coach and whether he is using his Lsu ties to steer kids. Perhaps it's Lsu they're really looking at. Having said that, it's pure speculation and I have nothing to back that up with.

Sounds to me like nothing's changed since the original story came out. A coon arse fan/coach was bitter that he was unable to push Paige to his school/LSU so he did some unethical things using poor judgement.
I've yet to hear anything in all this that reflects negatively on Bama. The student athlete is happy as is his family. He's at a place with a more realistic system to help him qualify and is looking forward to signing with one of the hottest football programs in the country.
