Do we get to charge all Texan cable and satellite subscribers the in footprint rate of about 1.40$ per month, or do some parts of Texas get the lower rate?

The reason I ask is the crazy thread on Land Thieves is claiming it didn't get that rate for all, just Aggie parts. I need proof one way or the other.

Aggie Parts? There are ags all over that state in every major metro area.

The Sshort answer is yes. All SEC states got 1.40 per subscriber including Texas and Missouri. Everything outside of the footprint was .40 per subscriber.

The enrollment in any year at A&M is over 62,000.

The Association of Former Students numbers just over 1.5 Million and is still growing.

That's about what every article I've read on it vaguely implies, but I'm looking for something a little more concrete.

Did you just google a number, then double it? What gives with this?

P.S.: You left out the other aggie lie: that the College Station campus has an $11 billion endowment.

Sources say the channel's rate card is at $1.40 per subscriber per month within the SEC's 11-state footprint and $0.25 per month outside of it.

LINK

Rate card isn't necessarily the rate that actually gets charged, but the wording used here suggests that there are no partial states in the footprint. Otherwise, why even mention the number of states to begin with.

Thx, that looks pretty strong. Too tired to argue with them anymore tonight though.

We need more Texas posters. The whole LSU thing feels forced. This guy really sounds like he doesn't like a&m.

Continue.

We're the biggest school in the state. There are no "Aggie parts"

You're posting lies about your big brother on an SEC message board at 1 am on a Tuesday. Kill yourself in front of your parents.

Yes, according to everything I have read if you have a team in the state you get to charge in state rate for all the subscribers in that state. That is why adding a NC or Va team is the only expansion options if/when we expand to 16.

Getting full rates in the state of Texas for adding the 4th best team in the state says a lot about the selling power of the SEC brand

You think?

It could be Chimp Brown using a sock. He did lose his job in Austin on Monday. Of course Chimp reported it, so it's probably incorrect.

"There is no way Texas A&M is going to the SEC"-Chimp Brown.

and when you consider the SEC basically got the second largest state just by adding an auburn level football program it's a pretty good value. Lots of room for growth, buy low/sell high and what not.
