you have to bring the receiver to their hub in des moines, ia and exchange it for a newer model.

I reset mine and nothing yet. I think guides will begin updating throughout the day.

keep reseting it. you have to do it like 10 times and it will eventually work.

Guys, this came straight from a directv engineer:

"You will need to perform a hard reset and this process takes 2 people. One will need to be holding down the red reset button for exactly 36 seconds. While holding this down, the other person needs to unplug the receiver from the wall for the last 10 seconds of the original 36. Here is the important part: At the 36th second, the red button must be released and the cord plugged back at the exact same time. If the guide doesn't show up, you will need to repeat the process as you just missed the timing. Good luck!"

Well, the guy at DTV told me 38 seconds so someone is lying.

No. You don't have to buy the Sec Network separately.Should be in your package.
