frick no. I like LSU and Auburn playing every year. The West would get stuck with both teams from the Big 12? No thanks

Do you realize what a scared pussy you look like with this shite?

Good god, and people think LSU fans whine about scheduling.

Nut. It. Up.

Yes, I would support. I'd take Auburn over Mizzou any day.

Likewise. Geographically it makes sense but Bama would have to give up their precious Tennessee rivalry.

Or LSU could just step up and support the 9 game schedule like Alabama wants to do. Unlike UGA, USCe and Florida they don't have a permanent OOC P5 rival to hold them back.

Of all the schools to laugh at TSIO I'd think Georgia would be the last considering they have basically the exact same setup with Auburn.

In an odd way, 14 is just not a great fit for scheduling. SEC would probably be better off getting to 16 teams, having pods , keeping all the rivalries, and playing each other more.

But to the question, I really could support bring Bama and auburn over for MIZZ and Vandy. Then going to 9 games no permanents.

The easy solution is when the conference expands to 16 teams is have these four teams in the same pod.
South East pod. Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee and Georgia. That way they play every year home and away.

East pod: new team East, new team East (assuming both teams are from the East coast.) South Carolina, Florida.

North pod: Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas.

Southwest pod. LSU, Miss State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M

Rules: 9 game schedule

You play everyone in your pod every year Home and away plus another pod (4 games home and away) plus two from another pod also Home and away. After two seasons, rotate pods. Benefit: Everyone plays everyone in conference in four years which equates better conference cohesion. More TV SEC network programming. Annual rivalries maintained only with your teams' pod. Downside. 9 game SEC schedule which means 4 away one season and then 5 away games the next season. (4/5 away games every other season.
There will no permanent opponents except with the pods.

Teams should have a vote to which pods they want to be in.

Nobody screaming. Just find it odd that you are ALMOST 50/50 against Alabama, and want to move to the East where you can't beat two of the teams. Nobody sad Auburn people were smart, though. How are you going to win the East if you can't beat Georgia or Florida?

If you are scared of Alabama just say so. there are a lot of little brothers scared of their big brother.

Auburn does fine beating Florida. I wish there was a way that Auburn and bama could fit in the East but unfortunately that would wreck the balance of how strong the SEC is in the division. LSU would gain a huge advantage.

You DO realize that the quote you referenced did not come from Gurley Gurl, right? She was for the switch.

Cool it Grandad. LSU is not and will not be our biggest game. why doesn't LSU sack up and support a 9 game schedule? If UT is so weak then why would it matter if you played them? Or is just to be against something Bama is for ( I think this is the real answer that is disguised with scheduling. Are you as concerned about the effort UGA and AU have put into maintaining that game? Didn't think so since Saban didn't coach either and LSU's real problem is with Saban not Bama. He just happens to coach here and don't act like LSU-Bama was some must see 100 million watching gem for the TV networks every year before Saban came to Bama. It wasn't and it still isn't for us, only you guys make this the biggest game of the year and that's only for you)

How bout LSU-Bama don't play? Since it's not competetive anymore and they've only played EVERY year since the late 50's. It's not a big historical rivalry if you look at the years they DIDN't play. It was quite a few.

I know someone has to point this out about Mizzou every once in a while but with Auburn gone Mizzou has a winning record against every West team except Bama (who nobody beats). So we lose Georgia and pick up walkovers like Ole Miss, A&M, and Arkansas. Sign me up!
