Since the SEC expanded to 14 teams in 2012, here are the West vs. West records:

Observations:
-LSU and TAMU, despite being 2nd and 3rd overall, have been trending downward the past 3 seasons.
-If you throw out Chizik's last year, Auburn is 8-4 under Gus which would be good for 2nd overall in that span.
-I think West vs. West records are more useful to look at than overall SEC record due to the variable nature of East opponent quality.

Does this all matter when Arky whips all the west teams' arse (collectively) this season?

LSU needs to prove 2014 was an enigma.

The anomaly in that group is A&M. The next few years will be brutal for the Aggies. I think A&M could very likely start this season 0-4 in SEC play - and they still have Auburn and LSU left. I think they lose both of those games too. That's 6 SEC losses in 2015. Sumlin will be on the hot seat by midseason.

If LSU doesn't generate enough of a passing game to back the defenses away from the LOS they could fall pretty hard in league play.

The question marks are Alabama and Auburn. Bama could lose 3 or run the table. Auburn can't win them all but they can beat anybody.

I don't see any way A&M manages to finish 0-6 against the West. I'm thinking 0-8, maybe 0-9.
