But LSU has a winning record. The rest of the SEC has a downright pitiful record vs. the PAC-10.

Edit: You beat me to it in your edited post.

Arguing that the Pac 10 is better talent wise or in conference depth really is silly Tangy. I'm sure it's an attempt at a flame.

WHo in the heck argued that? It is silly to argue that. I just presented facts.

LSU has not lost to the Pac 10 in over 30 years.

You and SFP really should get together.

don't know (or care) about SFP, but LSUTangerine has said several times the SEC is the best conference. He's arguement (correct me if I'm wrong)is that the Pac Ten is not as bad as we like to make it out to be.

I meant in the sense that they both love to stir the s--t and act like lawyers when they argue.

Check SCs record vs the PAC-10. We've only played a PAC-10 team twice.. both vs So.Cal.. you dont want me to bring up the video of the last time the 2 SCs met on the gridiron.

Wrong, the PAC 10 is worse.
Simply put, they are afraid to put their best vs our best. The PAC 10 and the Big 10 refuse to allow a +1 or a playoff. The SEC and the ACC are willing. Until the PAC 10 relents and allows a plus 1 or playoff, their fans deserve to be abused. WAC 10 is pathetic

(and USC did spank the barn at the barn- thanks alot plainsmen)

I agree that the pac 10 isn't terrible. I think that the way the top 3 conference's go its:
1. sec - Past 3 national champions. 5 bcs national championships and we are 5-0 in those games and have just killed the last 3 oponents.
2. big 12 - 2 bcs national champions. They have been in the championship game 6 times, one of the biggest knocks i have against them is they don't play really tough out-of-conference games and they are 2-4 in BCS championship games and have been blown out of 3 of them.
3. pac-10 - 1 BCS national championship have been in the game 2 times and have one of the best teams year-in year-out with usc. My complaint against them isn't as bad as with the big 12 because i do believe that the pac-10 does play tougher out-of-conference games and they are willing to travel to play those teams, but they are really only about 3 or 4 teams deep maybe.

Wrong on what? That the PAC-10 has a winning record vs. the SEC this decade?

Is that why the SEC, at it's 2008 spring meetings, unanimously voted to keep the curent system (BCS)? Is that why the new PAC-10 commish just said he is open to playoffs?

He has not been playing against inferior competition in the Pac-10 (as Sanchez did). He’s going up against the same caliber of athletes he will see in the NFL.

I disapprove of this message!

Winners of the past 2 BCS titles.. I doubt they would vote any other way.

Link please. If true, I'll delete my post and resume reasonable discussion.

Departing boss of women's professional tennis tour says he's willing to consider a college football playoff, among other potential changes.

Q: So you are willing to discuss the possibility of a playoff and willing to look at potential changes?

A: Yes, in the sense that I've been brought in to come with a new and fresh perspective in everything. There's been no issue that I've been told, 'This one you can't touch,' or, 'This isn't up for discussion.' . . . I don't want my answer to be interpreted as signaling there will be a change or won't be a change to the Pac-10's position on this. But I think it's fair to say that the reason someone like myself has been chosen is that people want a fresh look at all these things.
