Tennessee's defense has been a very pleasant surprise this year. It will only get better next year as well.

I'd take one of OM or State if I had to pick the best defense this year.

Tennessee is over-achieving considering how young they are on defense.

Ole Miss defense has given up 6 TDs through 6 games.

Ole Miss defense has scored 4 TDs through 6 games.

Yards be damned, I will take this every time.

Alabama's D is just now starting to come into its own too. Love it.

Funny coming from a fanbase that thinks they were the better team in 07. And even the more delusional ones won't let 03 go either.

No program has underachieved in the bcs era like UGA.

Yep, Georgia's schedule has been almost roll on the ground laughable at this point, and you have still given up over 30 points to crap teams like South Carolina and Tennessee

No. Lsu actually plays in a great divsion. In the last 11 years 8 sec west teams have at least played for the bcs title game. In the last 20 years just 3 teams from the west has more national titles than every other entire conferences

Woulda, coulda, shoulda should be Georgia's motto. All that talent and never won a BCS Championship. That early season South Carolina azz whoopin always seems to get in the way. Talk noise when you get the big trophy!

Our defense is so weird. I've never seen a defense looks so good but be so bad statistically

It's mostly due to playing backups against cupcakes and putting in backups in the 4th quarters. If you look at most stats in our games from the first half then it's pretty damn good. Our defense played very well against Auburns elite offense I was especially impressed with our redzone defense.

Auburn was 100% in redzone scoring until they played us

They really are pathetic. They even felt the need to ride Arkansas' jock in another thread. They've reached a new low.

TN's defense is pretty damn strong. Unfortunately, we very well might have the worst offense in the league.

Which really leads me to believe our D is even better than the ranking in the OP. The O can't stay on the field, and we're still ranked in the top 20 nationally for scoring and total D.
