There are some that its big at, but that doesnt make it a major college sport.

It's pretty big in the SEC, PAC 12, and ACC for sure. Whether you think that makes it a "major college sport" I guess is a matter of personal opinion.

Yea I love college baseball, but people claiming there is a 'big three' are insane. There's football and men's basketball, and then everything else. There's a very, very significant dropoff in revenue and popularity from the first two to any other sport.

Baseball is a Big 3 sport in America, but college baseball...meh. And this is coming from someone who prefers college baseball over college bball.

So you think college baseball being 'pretty big' in three conferences makes it a major sport with basketball and football? Need to make it a big four and add lacrosse then. Maybe five and add hockey.

Yes it is. It is one of the top 3 revenue generating sports for colleges and universities. Ergo a major sport.

Not saying you're wrong, because I honestly don't know and a quick google search didn't get it for me.

What are the numbers on Football vs. Basketball vs. Baseball? How much bigger is basketball than baseball. If Basketball were 5X the size, I'm not sure there are 3 "top revenue generating sports"

Basketball: 47 (not even counting tourney titles)
Baseball: 1

I always laugh when people chime in about Baseball not being a major sport in college. Either your a Yankee and a hockey fan or you are a fricking nerd that has never played a single sport in your life other than Playstation 3

In terms of national visibility, it's football, men's basketball, women's basketball, and baseball...in that order

Ole Miss Attendence per game avg: 12-13

Basketball: 8098
Baseball: 7996

Baseball is driven down by midweek games. If only counting weekend series it would be around 9000.

Higher than basketball.

LSU is 4th in women's basketball SEC titles and 1st in softball SEC titles. Winning is what we do.

We had Marshall Henderson. With that alone it put people in the stands. We also went to the tournament last year. Where did you go?

We know. Women's basketball is one of them.

I was at the SECCG in Duluth. Your fans don't have Tennessee stickers. They have Lady Vols stickers and flags.

I got dirty looks singing the alternate lyrics during the game...

ROCKY TOP, YOU'LL NEVER BE
HOME SWEET HOME TO ME
frick YOU, ROCKY TOP
GO TO HELL, TENNESSEE
frick YOURSELVES, TENNESSEE
