Remind me again, was it Alabama or Arkansas or both that won a natty in their Sweet 16? If you’re not first you’re last. That’s like being named Honorable Mention All American. Nobody cares.

Why don’t you refrain from posting till they win it all. But then we would never hear from you again!

Yeah, basketball doesn't work like that.

National championships are coveted but there are 360+ basketball teams competing for a tournament bid.

Only about 10% of those have ever won one title, and maybe 15 schools total have won multiple times.

For a lot of programs (including historically most of the SEC), just finishing in the top-whatever is still a big deal.

Technically, we are

2020-2024 is the first half

2025-2029 is the second half

I guess if you want to argue semantics, we’re 4/9 considering there was no tournament in 2020 (year 1 of the decade)

But of the 20s, we are now halfway through the football and basketball seasons of the current decade
