I'm curious as to how the existing members of the SEC rate the current stadiums. Stadium combined with perceived difficulty to play there, gameday atmosphere, etc.

Just exclude Texas and OU if you've never been or don't frankly feel like you know where you'd position them.

Love to make each a destination in the future as I can.
Obviously outside of DKR (100k) and Gaylord (86k) no other stadiums in the big 12 held anything more than 60k.

Texas stadium is trash compared to most in the SEC. LSU, Alabama, and A&M generally have the best stadiums according to reports.

That's actually a pretty good list. I'd probably put Arkansas above WBS but no issue with the rest

I went to DKR with some of my LSU buddies for the game. No offense, but we were expecting better. It is kind of a dump compared to other SEC stadiums.

LSU has the best atmosphere.. but not the best physical stadium… I’d rank them about fourth in physical plant.. A&M first.

But by all means, go to a game there, get there early, wear your school colors..visit the tailgating… you will be met with civility and bon homie.

If you want to sample the LSU hospitality, put on an Alabama shirt and walk around. What you experience while doing that will properly introduce you to the SEC.,

Texas A&M
Alabama
LSU
Florida
Arkansas
Tennessee
Georgia
Texas
South Carolina
Kentucky
Oklahoma
Auburn
Mississippi State
Ole Miss
Vanderbilt

Never been to Missouri’s stadium, so I won’t rank them. Went to Texas vs West Virginia in 2019. That was a fun game, but the atmosphere and stadium as a whole was really disappointing. Went to Oklahoma vs Baylor in 2015, and that was a dud.

Overall, it's lsu, and it's really not close. Other programs can't compete with that. Sorry, It's the truth. It's one of the greatest sporting venues in the world. Period.

Tiger Stadium, Sanford, Kyle Field, Bryant-Denny, Neyland, Jordan-Hare, Ben Hill Griffin, Williams-Brice.

If I had to throw UT & OU into the mix, I would imagine Gaylord would be somewhere between Kyle Field and Jordan-Hare. DKR would probably be right there with Ben Hill until they finish renovations.

Everyone in media points to LSU & Penn State as being the best CFB stadium atmospheres. As long as you aren’t running around talking shite acting an arse, LSU fans will welcome you to their tailgate to feed you good food and get you drunk. Y’all are going to love trips to BR. Majority of the traveling fans in the conference come spend the weekend in Nola and hit game day in BR. It’s a good time for visitors. Don’t listen to the lies that LSU fans are hostile drunk assholes. That’s cry baby sooner fans who got butt hurt after we spanked their arse in 03 in Nola.

Singularly perhaps the most overrated entity in all of sports. It’s a very average stadium, and the atmosphere is only decent at night vs. formidable opponents. If LSU is losing, they have a game day atmosphere on par with Kentucky.

ETA: That being said, on average - LSU’s stadium and stadium experience is in a different stratosphere than Texas or Oklahoma.

Absolutely. Most historians maintain that the only competition is The Coliseum, but as you stated it isn’t really close considering how cultured Baton Rouge is.

Our stadiums don't hold as many anti American SJWers as Texas' stadium does.
