SEC should replace Vandy

Sure, they’re an original member. But they take the cash every year, don’t disclose anything, and don’t invest in improving much. SEC should look at bringing in an active member before expanding again.

They have won more nattys in big 3 sports than Auburn this century.

Vandy has won a baseball National Championship in the last 3 years. When's the last time Auburn has won a National Championship in one of the Big 3 mens' sports?

Gotta put some skin in the game to bring it up to standard. Some requirement on the disclosure end would be nice too

Yeah. Good contributors at baseball. But they aren’t hampered by the scholarship limit on that like public schools. They take millions every year out of disbursement. But make no upgrades. Barely a contributing member.

Private schools are not obligated to.

They have an elite baseball program and one of the top medical research schools in the country. They are decent in both woman’s and men’s basketball more times than not. The SEC is wise to keep a school like Vandy as they are elite in academics.

It’s pretty cool to realize almost every original founding SEC member has won a Natty in at least 1 of the big 3 sports the past 15 years.
Florida - numerous sports
Georgia - football
Alabama - football
Auburn - football
MSU - baseball
OM - baseball
Vandy - baseball
Kentucky - Basketball
LSU - football and baseball
Tennessee
