Lsu takes Friday. Close on Saturday. It could go either way, but I give vandy the edge. And then vandy beats up in our bullpen Sunday.

I think you underestimate Poche.

Expected starting rotations for this weekend between USC and Ole Miss:
Friday:
Jordan Montgomery (Jr. LHP) 3-0, 1.99 ERA, 22.2 IP, 8 BB, 25 SO
Chris Ellis (Jr. RHP) 2-0, 0.00 ERA, 27.2 IP, 10 BB, 20 SO
Saturday:
Jack Wynkoop (So. LHP) 4-0, 1.37 ERA, 26.1 IP, 3 BB, 24 SO
Christian Trent (So. LHP) 2-0, 3.96 ERA, 25.0 IP, 1 BB, 25 SO
Sunday:
Wil Crowe (Fr. RHP) 3-0, 0.99 ERA, 27.1 IP, 3 BB, 21 SO
Sam Smith (Jr. RHP) 3-0, 1.61 ERA, 22.1 IP, 6 BB, 13 SO
Both weekend staffs come in without a recorded loss to their seasons to be found, and only 1 of the 6 have an ERA above 2.00. Ellis having all goose eggs for an ERA is impressive considering his low strikeout:walk ratio. Trent has a high ERA: he's given up 2 HRs and 4 dbls, but only has 1 walk, so looks like he doesn't fool anyone with stuff but just tries to throw it past them. Smith's opponents are hitting .241 and he doesn't have a lot of Ks, so it looks like he induces a lot of ground-outs and/or fly-outs. Both Trent and Smith have hit 8 batters thus far: our entire team has hit only 9....
Either way, it appears at a glance that runs will come at a premium this weekend. Let's hope our pitchers are up to the task, and especially our DEFENSE, as one blown error could mean the difference in a win or loss this series....

Exactly, I like LSU's chances on Sunday better than Saturday. Poche may be our #2 starter.

SC and Ole Miss are really evenly matched in hitting and 1 or the other only slightly leads in all the hitting categories. It's the same thing for pitching 1 slightly leads the other in various pitching categories.

However, it looks like IF Ole Miss is going to steal a game in Columbia, it's going to be on Friday with Ellis pitching. The entire weekend staff for both squads are undefeated and had a great "pre-season" but now is the time they start cutting teeth. Yardcocks vs Yardsharks, this is going to be really entertaining and some good baseball.

These should be great series
I don't see any obvious sweeps this weekend but I'm sure there will be one or two.

I would be surprised if we even win one with the way we've been playing the last two weeks. Florida 3-0.

AU has won 6 straight games. We have a #53 RPI.
I say we take 2 of 3.

Might get swept but holding out hope our bats out hit them 1 game. Lord knows our pitching won't keep us in it
There is no doubt in my mind that yall will out hit us. Our hitting has been pure shite. I'm surprised now when we don't strike out looking.

If they hope to carry the series they better win Fri and Sun because Keegan and his sub 0.50 ERA has Sat on lockdown.

I wouldn't put much thought into the RPI currently. Dartmouth is #1 and they've only played 3 games (losing two of them).
Here are SEC RPI:
#5 South Carolina
#7 Vanderbilt
#12 Ole Miss
#35 UGA
#39 Tennessee
#40 Kentucky
#52 Auburn
#60 Florida
#76 Alabama
#78 Texas A&M
#92 LSU
#121 Miss State
#153 Arkansas
#192 Missouri
