Yante got railroaded at Oakland. Total horseshite. The sad thing is how close we are to like a 7 seed (many, many teams can make this claim every year, so we are nothing special)

well your seed is important. For you guys it's going to be the difference between one and out and two and out

Nobody said seeding isn't important.

I'm telling you, losing on the road to Mizzou doesn't matter as much as you would like it to.

The biggest NCAAt impact game last night in the league was Vandy @ UK.

In bracketwag's update this morning, they moved Kentucky up to a 2 seed from a 3 seed with the win. Vanderbilt stayed at the 11 seed play in game.

In team rankings, all stayed the same. Vandy's percentage of making the field actually went up with a loss. They still have the Dores as a last 4 in play in game as well.

No other changes really. South Carolina is the bottom 7 seed in team rankings and Arkansas is the top 8 seed.

I am going to add bracket matrix to the OP as well which gives the average seed across 123 brackets of bracketology.

Vandy's season comes down to Florida on Saturday. Sweep the Gators to ensure 5 top 50 wins, low 40 RPI, high 30 Ken Pom, top 2-3 SOS it's going to be awful hard to keep the Dores out of the NCAAs even with 15 losses.

Biggest home game for VU since probably 2012.

In about a week, Tennessee has moved from the NCAA bubble to the NIT bubble.

CBS Bracket Predictions:

Greenville would be hosting UNC, Duke, and South Carolina all at the same site in this prediction. Crazy.

Pretty sure that SC is 22-8 after last night's win ...

15 losses is a lot. I don't think it would be that hard to keep vandy out

4 top 50 wins and 9 top 100 wins is what makes it hard to keep Vandy out at this point. 8-4 in their last 12. #2 SOS overall.#1 OOC SOS in country.

No team with 15+ losses has ever been selected for the NCAAT as an at large

Since tourney field expanded in 2011 no team with a top 60 RPI and 5 top 50 wins has ever been left out either. NCAA opened up themselves to situations like this being possible with expansion. I could see it going either way but say VU sweeps UF, wins first game and then wins another against say Arkansas to make Semis. Now 6 top 50 wins and computer numbers in the 30s, 15 losses may or may not matter in that situation.

It's definitely game by game though and have to beat UF Saturday to have any chance at all.

Rooting for yall as the more SEC teams in, the better for us all, but that type of loss yall had last night is the recipe for a season killer. Hope yall don't come out flat against UF on Saturday, but it's gonna be hard to get up after last night

Not presume we'd even win round 1 and not presume we'd do better vs a 1-seed compared to a 2-seed, but getting that 7-10 matchup seems infinitely more desirable than then 8-9 matchup and the inevitable run-in with a 1-seed.
