No he didn't. He said he needs to play better. He said that about the whole team. He also said this:

quote:

When he's consistent with his technique and clean with his hands, he's pretty," St. Louis offensive line coach Paul Boudreau said last week. "He can be a great player."

Fisher didn't say that, his O-line coach said that. And what the hell else is he gonna say? "Nah, our #2 pick sucks. He's never gonna be good. We goofed that one up".

Folks in St. Louis who watched them each week don't see to agree he has little problems.

quote:

....so disturbing to watch second-year left tackle Greg Robinson floundering for the Rams. This is more than just a young tackle just going through the ritual learning stage. If this was just a matter of learning through experience, then Robinson should be getting better as he moves deeper into his second NFL season. But he’s actually getting worse, and playing more poorly than ever, and that’s alarming. You don’t need me to convince you of that; all we have to do is watch. There is an abundance of visual evidence.

There is no polite way to say this, but we can’t duck from the truth: Greg Robinson is a bad offensive tackle.

Trent Richardson

In the long list of Bama busts, this one is the crowning jewel. I never thought it was possible for someone to take Jamarcus Russell's title of "biggest bust" but Trent found a way. Kudos to the young man.

He's the only one who has totally busted himself out of football. The rest of the "busts" are contributors on NFL teams and play significant snaps, which means they really aren't busts at all.

Trent definitely hit Jamarcus territory though. He's just been a total disaster.

Well either way, he's still better than Rent Richardson who was rated the 2nd worst NFL RB of ALL TIME.

And there's still plenty of time for him to turn it around. It's not uncommon for OL to struggle at the beginning of their career and turn into pro bowlers. He's got an example from AU in King Dunlap, and the ultimate example is somebody you should know from Bama, Evan Mathis.

And Trent is still better than 99% of running backs to ever come through this league

Nick Fairley career (61 games) - 14.0 sacks

Marcell Dareus career (78 games played) - 30.5 sacks

Both 1st round picks. But hey, I'm sure the bammer is the one is a bust.

Well to be fair, Fairley was waayyy better than Dareus in college. He just has to face legit offensive linemen now. He doesn't get to play against players like Barrett Jones.

Hahahaha - I'm pretty sure he kept blowing up Vlachos didn't he? Either way, he abused us that day (and everyone that year).

Just too bad he decided to crash and burn in the NFL like all other recent non-Cam Newton Auburn 1st rounders.
