Also, did you really include Jalen Hurd?

Hurd literally only gets about 50% of our carries and yards. And he still had about 1200 yards. He has nowhere near the bruising workload that Fournette and Henry do. (Not saying he's better or as good as either, just making an observation)

I was just asking because he said all the players had one or more chances to break the record. 1,200 yards doesn't give you a chance to break the record, IMO.

He may as well list every single back that's gone over 1,000 in the last 30 years.

Yep, if you give any quality running back enough games, he'll break the record.

Yeah. I highly doubt Hurd will ever break 1500, because he's not a bust it 80 yards for a TD type back and he's also unlikely to ever have a similar workload to LF7 and Henry. JH is probably leaving for the draft after 2016, and everyone else who had significant rushing contributions is also returning next year. It'll probably be the more of the same, with slightly better totals all around. If by chance he returned for 2017, maybe it's possible.

Side note: in spite of that, he still has a good chance to break the UT career rushing record in 3 years, and would obliterate it if he stayed for 4.

The only Tennessee RBs that may have had a chance at that record, if they hadn't gotten injured, were Jamal Lewis and Chuck Webb.

I know, it sucks

The record is actually surprisingly low (only 3078) and Hurd is already only about 1000 yards away with a bowl and an entire season to go. Barring injury he should get it next year, and would absolutely crush it if he stayed for his senior year, which is unlikely.
