Chaos weekend has come and gone! Who survived, and who decided to let it all burn?
See what our voters think about the SEC after week 7! Here are the results:
Alabama - survived Upset Weekend by pounding Arkansas both offensively and defensively. The Tide rolled up roughly 500 yards of offense with most of it coming on the ground. The defense held a once proud rushing Razorbacks team to 27 yards and sacked The Mountain Who Rides five times. Next up is a listless Tennessee Volunteer team.
Arkansas - The Hogs got clobbered by Bama, as expected. Cole took much less of a beating that Allen would have and his deep ball is sweet. The Hog D is bipolar but that's expected when you switch from the 4-3 to the 3-4. The Hogs are terrible, they won't make a bowl unless it's the munchie type.
Auburn - Curses are real. Voo doo is real. The presence of Les Miles still haunts Auburn. Gus Malzahn hates all of us. We will still beat the hell out of a Bert. War Damn I guess
A&M - Like most A&M games this year, it wasn't exactly pretty, but the Aggies came out with another victory. Since the epic UCLA meltdown the Fightin Texas Aggies have outscored opponents 116-43 in the 2nd half (~19-7 per game). We get a bye week to rest up for State while they're busy with Kentucky.
Florida - We suck. Season is over. Now let's see if Cleveland and Toney come back so we can beat Georgia. Oh wait, that's not going to happen. We will be flirting with not making a bowl this season now. We miss Muschamp.
UGA - We survived "upset weekend" and beat a weak team soundly. But our defense took a step back. Is our defense really that bad, or did they just consume too much of that "rat poison" that the media and fans have been feeding them? We get the 1st part of that answer in the JAX in 2 weeks...
Kentucky - Bye played hard and close with the Cats but fell late to a small crowd in CWS. Next up for the Cats is a trip to StarkVegas and Neil working for the Dawgs. Not a good sign for the faithful.
LSU - What a comeback. What a time to be alive. The young tiger squad seems to have maybe turned a corner. Up next the rebel black bear land sharks.
MSU - We handled business against a terrible BYU team as a heavy favorite at home. I look for us to cover yet again this week. We have only lost to Kentucky once in the last 8 years and look for that dominance to continue this week at home against the Cats.
Missouri - We covered!! We’re spending some time in the film room and making some adjustments and moving on. It’s a process. It’s not gonna be quick. This is a rebuild. Next up: Homecoming (we invented it) and we try to force at least two punts against them Idahos.
Ole Miss - The Rebels got a win that was desperately needed against Vandy. The offense was clicking on all cylinders, with Shea throwing for 351 yards and totaling 5 touchdowns, and the running game racking up a season high 252 yards. The defense looked decent, giving up 2 touchdowns in garbage time and allowing 163 yards and 2 touchdowns to Ralph Webb. LSU, hot off their win against Auburn in Baton Rouge, comes to Oxford this Saturday. Look for Luke and co. to throw everything they have at Orgeron's improving offense and stingy defense.
South Carolina - After a game-saving pass break up in the end zone as time expired, Bentley kneeled down and whispered softly to Guarantano "git gud"
Tennessee - Another week. Another loss. Butch Jones's team hasn't scored a touchdown in over two games. That may not change against Bama this weekend. Hopefully it won't be "Butch Jones's team" very much longer. Only non abyss level darkness lining for Tennessee fans is the offense did look a tinge better with the more mobile GITMO starting at QB last week. His reward: may get literally killed this week.
Vanderbilt - Move over, Missouri. That basement spot is Vanderbilt's birthright. Until our defensive-minded head coach can get his players to, I don't know, keep offenses from scoring roughly 50 points per week, we've got last place locked down.

Vandy should be ranked over TN. They've been the top program in that state for years now.

My hats off the voter who placed us in first, but we're no where near that right now.

Aggie and LSU both too high
And for the crack head voting Georgia number 1

I still don’t get why A&M is getting so much love. I really don’t. This is only about Aggy, not LSU.

Well A&M hasn't lost to Troy
Posted on 10/18/17 at 12:11 pm to LSUfan389
I don’t really feel like A&M is getting love as much as everyone else just sucks.
Also, not really sure how UK is getting #3 votes, but I expect that to change after they lose to State this weekend.

Once again I am not talking about LSU, just saying I don’t see what everyone else sees in A&M. Has nothing to do with LSU
Posted on 10/18/17 at 12:49 pm to LSUfan389
Because outside of Alabama and Georgia they have been the most consistent.

Inorite?
A couple more bye weeks and peeps would be pegging us for the playoffs.
Real test begins Saturday. Are we playing down to opponents or we are just not that good?

I think we are playing down to opponents, but that needs to end with the bye week. Time to step it up now.

We keep showing up. Finding a way to win.
Everyone else keeps beating each other or losing to Troy.
