Question #4:

Would Urban Meyer run to another conference?

You guys can laugh all you want, but that's straight from the mouth of a level-headed Alabama booster.

Nick Saban would have been back at LSU if Miles had left. Period.

How does "Urban Meyer, TAMU's New Head Coach After Sumlin Leaves for the Cowboys" sound? Howabout "Urban Meyer, Washington State's New Head Coach After Saban Takes the Texas Job" then?

I would think he would consider it.

LSU is a great school and a great job, but moving to MI is not "lateral" - MI is a bigger job than LSU

Notre Dame / Mich / USC / TX / Bama

That's the list of the top 5 college football jobs.

LSU, UF, UGA and probably AU & Tenn are in that next tier to be sure, but y'all are kidding yourselves if you don't think Les, a grad from Ann Arbor, would not listen to an offer.

1) Without a doubt.

2) Yes.

3) Probably not, but you never know. My guess is 85% chance he stays at LSU.

I think it averages out as lateral. LSU = more current success, better conference, better network deal, better local talent. Michigan = better tradition, easier conference, alma mater, bigger fan base. There's much to recommend both of them.

This has to be a troll. Hell the MI job isn't even a bigger job than "not relevant since the 80's" aka UGA

Better job, no. More storied program, without question.

The problem is that Michigan's glory days occurred before a good portion of the Rant was even born, Lloyd Carr notwithstanding.

No matter who they go after, Schembechler ain't walking through that door.

Michigan is still Michigan, and the B1G is one of the better conferences.

Call it a troll or whatever, I really don't care

LSU is one of the best jobs in the country, but Michigan is one of the top 5

Notre Dame

I'd have to remove this from your list of the top 5 jobs.

All Notre Dame has to do is win 7 or 8 games and the national media will be blowing them and NBC will be falling over itself with a CBS/SEC type contract.

Until the Irish STOP having more fans than any other team in the country and pulling in major ratings, I'll keep them in the top 5...

Without question. Michigan will always be Michigan. No matter what happens going forward, no one can take their achievements away from them.

I'll also go so far as to say that everyone should have a chance to see a game played in the Big House, particularly if football history is your thing.

Lol. If Saban wanted to go back to LSU, he'd be there right now.

I assume your cable/satellite was out this past weekend.

To answer the OP: Michigan would be stupid to not ask Les.
