I know he said P5 opponents only, but to include certain players and not others when you're limited in the number of players you're talking about is stupid.
Only wanted to skew it so that season looked better. Chubb will carry them as far as they'll go this year. They have a ceiling, and it is not championship level, IMO.

Do you think Florida has a higher ceiling?

He obviously wanted to pick and choose the stats that backed up the point he wanted to make. Funny thing about stats is that you can make them say whatever you want them to.

Of course.
Leaving out Del Rios stats make Easons look better, regardless of the fact that Eason threw about 30 fewer passes.

Yes. Much better defense. Much higher ceiling

There is homers and then there is you.

You could put up Barker from Kentucky who leads in yards and touchdowns and use those stats to say it still wasn't enough to beat southern Miss

That's not being a homer, it's just a fact.
I'll take the coach who has proven he can get to Atlanta, the #1 ranked defense in the SEC, and a solid quarterback who doesn't turn the ball over who has several weapons over the first time head coach, the runningback who is going to get run into the ground, and the true freshman quarterback who, although is ridiculously talented, is young and will make mistakes.
That's not being a homer. That's just a fact. Florida has a ceiling of 11-1 and a floor of 9-3. Georgia has a ceiling of maaaaybe 9-3, and a floor of 8-4.

Passing yards: 141 YPG (36th, 3rd)
Rushing yards: 46 YPG (10th, 1st)
Points given up: 7 (15th, 2nd)

Florida's ceiling isn't 11-1, its 10-2/9-3. They have no offense. None. None at all. I sold on Florida immediately and for me the jury is still out there on Tennessee.

Look at the schedule. The only game that Florida has nearly no chance in is the FSU game. I like their chances in every other game.
Just wait on Florida's offense. There were several factors that contributed to Florida's lack of offense in the game. Good offense starts and ends with the quarterback, and Florida has a good one. You'll see that shine through as this season progresses.

That's the facts through week one. Florida's defense is one of the best in the conference. We all know this, and if you don't, then you're in denial

I'm just saying, if that's the metric you use, Duke should be pumped they have the #2 defense in the land.

They must've had a great game on defense. All we can go off of is the results we've seen so far.

You know damn well those stats mean nothing, with only one game having been played and the varying degrees of opponents played.

You said it was THE best.
However you didn't say that you played a cupcake. Bama played a real team and was at the top of most categories.
Wake up dude.

That's like us saying we're #1 in the SEC standings.
It's true, but it doesn't mean shite right now.
