Break league into four divisions (adding 2 new teams)
Lsu
Ark
Texas a&m
(Other western team--OU or Houston)
Ole miss
Miss state
Auburn
Alabama
Tennessee
Missouri
Kentucky
Vandy
South Carolina
Georgia
Florida
N c state (other)
Play your division and one other rotating division each year 7 games. Then match the 1s vs 1s, 2s vs 2s, 3s vs 3s, and 4s vs 4s for one week sec psuedo playoff with the last game of the 1s winners being the conference championship game.
Each team gets 8 conference games and the last two standing play an additional game. Players still play each opponent in there time in college.
Bash away.

It's a shitty idea.
Just get rid of divisions, keep 2 or 3 permanent rivalries and rotate the rest. Take the top2 teams at the end of the year for the championship.
Not that hard.

Because people love a playoff. It's what the nfl does in a shrunk down form.
Why not?
Why not?

I guess if you have no interest in SEC and college football traditions.
I'll never understand why so many people are so willing to completely change something that is so wildly popular as it is.
The SEC had been in 8 championships in a row - but SEC fans still seemed to think a playoff would be better.
WTF?

How about we don't add anyone and eliminate 2 OOC games. Play both OOC games Week 1 and Week 2.
Play full SEC slate. (6 division, 2 non division)
Top 6 make SEC playoffs. Winner of each division get byes. Cross division would play each other in round 1.
Same thing with a consolation bracket.
Results of the playoff would lock in bowl/playoff games.
Using 2015 standings, here would be the playoff match ups. I have the higher seed winning each game.
Pluses
-This would be the biggest thing in college football over a 3 weeks period.
-Championship weekend would be a 3 game even in ATL. From 11am to 12am of awesome.
Minus
-Teams may play multiple times
-Some teams would have more home games
-Up to 4 teams would play a 13 game season.
