Yea I remember hearing he wouldn't be able to participate because of the ACL

still surprising. guys who can't participate still get invited all the time just to have the chance to meet with teams.

Reuben Foster is an example. He recently had shoulder surgery and will not participate in the combine. But he was invited and plans on going to meet with teams for interviews during the event.

I heard today that Foster is a no go. Having surgery for a torn rotator cuff he has been playing with for a while.

I'm a little surprised Lewis Neal wasn't invited.

Somewhat related - the Big 12 only has 18 players invited, half the conference (5 teams) have only 1 or none going. That conference is so close to disbanding

Yes, we'll get back rather soon to having a regular 6 or so guys attending like usual but that would be thanks to Muschamp.

Based on last off-season, is it 7? Or maybe it was all of them.

LSU fans said 6 in the offseason.

Adams and Fournette are top 10.
Tre White is a top 20 pick.

Ethan Pocic was projected go to in the 1st due to his frame and potential. Les stuck him at center and it's very rare for centers to go in the 1st. He's a projected early to mid 2nd rounder. If he kills it at the combine he could easily work himself back into the 1st.

Kendall Beckwith was leading the SEC in tackles before he tore his ACL. Still likely a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Malachi was the victim of a Les Miles offense. He showed how dominant he can be in the bowl game. Likely 3rd rounder.

It's not that far fetched that we had potentially 6 - 1st rounders.

Mind blowing

The VAST majority of our talent was freshmen and sophomores; the other 4 juniors would likely would have been invited (Chubb, Michel, Carter, Bellamy) all elected to return for their senior seasons.

It doesn't help your team much when half of the two recruiting classes that make up your upperclass either didn't qualify, transferred out, or were dismissed from the team.

I think 6 was the number tossed around by the biggest homers. Most of us assumed 2-3 maybe 4

Locks

Fournette
Adams

Probable/possible

Tre White
Davon Godchaux

But he was invited and will go to attend meetings with teams. He just won't take part in the drills. LINK

What about the former Bama player that transferred to Georgia, Mo Smith? Wonder why he wasn't invited.

75% of our Passing yards were true freshman
100% of our passing TDs were true freshman
86% of our Rushing and Receiving yards were from Fr/So
90% or our Rushing/ Receiving TDs were from Fr/So

We are super young.

Shouldn't Maurice Smith be on the list for UGA?

I still don't understand how we got 8 invited, especially anyone from the defense.

Speedy Noil – Receiver

The only way he gets drafted will be if he destroys the combine.

quote:

Ricky Seals-Jones – Receiver

See above. Mike Evans played his way into a top 10 pick with his combine numbers, but Seals-Jones plays like he's 5 inches shorter and 100 pounds lighter.
