Intent is my guess. They'll see that Murray wasn't really near the play, half-assed jogging when Dial blindsides the frick out of him hitting him in the jaw with his helmet. It was a knockout shot plain and simple.

did they offer any explanation as to why the referee standing 10 feet from the hit and looking directly towards it didn't throw a flag?

Glad to hear they see a mistake was made. I am not sure it would have affected the outcome of the game but to me it was dirty. Now, Murray did need to be more aware of his surroundings but it does not excuse the hit in any way. I know alot of Bama fans think it was clean but any of us would have been upset if that would have been our quarterback hit like that. I doubt he will be suspended and maybe he shouldn't be but I am glad it is being looked into. Be proud of your Bulldogs they played a helluva game.

I'm not hiding shite. Murray got his fricking arse rocked. Keep your head on a swivel if you want to chase after a pick...bottom line.

If policy is to review it, review it. If a determination is made that he led with his head, punish him accordingly.

With that said, Murray will think twice about pursuing the ball carrier I bet.

I can cut you some slack on your idiocy today, seeing as you really haven't watched football in a couple of years, and only some kind of touch crap down on the plains.

He was a few yards away and jogging into the ballcarrier's path. Easily close enough to block.

If this had been a punt return and it was some random defender (not a qb) but everything else was the same, the position, the timing was all the same (and Bama wasn't involved) we would all be saying damn what an awesome block and no one would think twice.

That's not the argument. It's clear that Murray was targeted for a knockout shot. Dial's helmet hit him in the jaw.

So, that's the party line now? "shite, we got caught, but look they're doing it too. Two wrongs make a right.... etc"

On what planet was Murray a ballcarrier in that play?

He threw a pick and was 10 yrds away from the play.
