Bit of a long shite, but with the GOR, ECU maybe? And as much as I would hate it, but if ODU does well moving to 1-A, maybe them for VA.
I would prefer to stay at 14

Charlotte is to the ACC what Atlanta is to the SEC.

It's funny they picked the one Southern State that's not in the SEC.

NC State will be next.

I would have loved if ESPN would have put the SEC network studios in NOLA. With the growing movie and TV presence in the area there's qualified production people here and even if they had to develop a new facility to operate out of, it still seems like it would have been a good deal for them because of the TV and film tax credits.

Slive and Skipper are both ACC alum. Until SEC alumni are more pronounced in front of the camera and behind it it will still be an ACC network - evidenced by no stop replay (an at least 2 ESPN channels at the same time) - of the Duke vs Notre Dame (both are in the ACC) Lacrosse game. If they were not going to put it in Atlanta, the least they could have done is put it somewhere that made historical or creative sense.

AL : CLC was founded here
KY : Host was founded here
GA :Savannah would have been cool
SC : Charleston would have been cool
MS : better paying jobs in a poorer state
AR : SECTV powered by Wal Mart
MO : It really is about the TV's
TN : Nashville is already full of entertainment people
TX : send a message to austin - Fook U!
LA : well Houston could cover LSU and TAMU folks
FL : makes sense but no if it meant taint from Free Shoes and Thug U

not really

Greensboro, NC is a more instrumental part of the ACC's history than is Charlotte

plenty of Gamecock fans can be found around the Charlotte area now, although I won't say it belongs more to SC as rooster suggests

They obviously made a mistake. I mean they have a woman as the anchor for Christs sake.

We got Fast & Furious and The Walking Dead. Atlanta is a growing market for film too

It looks like the forward cabin of an early 80s Sea Ray.

In basketball, yes Charlotte is an ACC town.
Football, maybe not so much.
Atlanta is full of a lot of Yankees, though not as bad as any city in Florida, therefore an argument can be made.

All that being said, Atlanta still has more SEC fans than Charlotte.

agreed

but Charlotte is not to the ACC what Atlanta is to the SEC, though

they've hosted a few recent ACC championships in football, and the occasional basketball tourney, but nothing like ATL does for the SEC

plus the studio is likely within 10 miles of an SEC state. it's not that big of a deal, really

Slive went to Dartmouth, and though he has a law degree from UVA, I would still venture to say he considers himself an alumnus of the Big Green, especially since he went back to work in their athletic office.

I think the set in pretty meh, and the desk just looks horrid.

Disagree completely. Both cities have a lot of transplants, but Atlanta is largely made up of Georgia and Auburn people.

I agree with you here though. I would have loved to have brought the state of NC into the SEC last expansion.

And the set as a whole is okay, not great. A bit small, and I don't like the desk.
