So basically, UT makes the CWS 66% of the time they are in the tournament field? Pretty fricking impressive.

If MSU is a baseball school, then call us the '27 Yankees!

So I decided to try to use the data in this thread into a ranking for postseason success. Here is how I did it, 1 point for making a regional, 1 point if you host said regional, 2 points for making the supers, 1 point for hosting said super, 5 points for making it to Omaha, and 10 points for winning it all. Here are the results. Remember this is since '99 when they changed the format.
1. LSU* - 104
2. South Carolina - 103
3. Florida* - 60
4. Vanderbilt* - 48
5. Arkansas* - 46
6. Georgia - 42
7. Texas A&M* - 40
8. Ole Miss* - 38
9. Mississippi St - 36
10. Alabama - 28
11. Tennessee - 19
12. Auburn* - 12
13. Missouri - 11
14. Kentucky - 5
*teams in postseason now and could improve.
Overall I think it turned out fairly. If you think I am way off on the weights of each accomplishment, let me know and I'll consider adjusting it.

Nice analysis
UGA is so bad right now, hard to believe we are middle of the pack. I'm surprised Vandy isn't better.

UGA was good during the early years of the new format. Vandy has been good the middle & latter part. Only USC, LSU, UF, Ark, and somewhat A&M has been consistantly good throughout.

If you do the overall stats, we move into the top 5 in the SEC. The 2000s prior to Cohen weren't very good. 80s and 90s were our best years
