I sure as hell don't. It's completely stupid and the only people who do probably think all games should kick off at 1:00 eastern like back in the old days

So you prefer all teams other than yours lose their bowl games so the SEC ends up looking like any other weak arse conference out there. What a dumb frick.

Most of them, yes. I pull for the Vandy's of the world but I don't ever pull for our rivals in bowl games, why should I? I'm not an SEC fan, my allegiance isn't to a fricking conference, it's to my alma mater. My school. I care about UGA and UGA only, and our rivals losing is good for UGA.

Yeah, I should actively root for our rivals to win more games, gain more prestige, ascend the rankings, and look better to recruits. What was I thinking?

We all get the recruits because we are the best conference out there. Do you think your alma mater would get the prestige, better rankings, and better recruits if you were in the Sunbelt, WAC, or Conference USU. Think about it.

Why would this concern a GA fan? They're the flagship university in a state with lots of football talent and have a rich athletic department.

I don't care who "we all" get, I care who UGA gets. We sign roughly 25 per year, and a recruit is going to look that much harder at our rivals if they are doing well.

This is so stupid it doesn't even deserve to be dignififed with a response. How you pulled that question out of your brain and thought it related to the topic at hand is beyond me.

I do pull for LSU first and SEC second. Anyone who wants other SEC teams to lose OOC games is an idiot. The PAC12 conference just received a huge TV contract based on the entire conference. This means more $$ for every conference team. More $$ is better for every SEC team. Right now...Vandy, Kentucky, and even UGA are benefiting from the huge BCS payouts coming from LSU/BAMA. Who doesn't think that BAMA being in the SEC had something to do with why they are in the BCSCG?

UT & OU thought that they could build a conference around 2 powerhouse schools and provide the opportunity for one to make the BCSCG on a regular basis. That didn't work too well for them. The remaining schools (Neb/aTm) didn't like being relegated to 2nd class status so they bolted. That conference is a very good example of why we should stick together in the SEC. The Gump (fans) bother me most because they would probably sacrifice the SEC if it meant that they could be the single dominant force in the SEC. This is a UT (Texas) mentality that has every school in that conference hating UT. The number Gump flame threads (daily) on this board is a good example of which SEC school they hate the most. They fear us because we have won 2 in a row and they know that it is very possible that it will be 4 in a row. The Gump hatred is a compliment!

Georgia has been one of the top 5 most profitable ADs in the nation for like 10 years, and has been in top 3 many of those years. I dont' care if we don't make that extra money. Vandy might need it, we don't.

Strictly looking at it from a football perspective, the negative of a rival winning games and national titles FAAAAARRRR outweighs making a couple extra million dollars.

I only read the OP, and I call fricking bullshite. Majority of the fans in the SEC were pulling for the Ducks in the BCSCG.

Not flaming but I would say only bc everybody thought y'all cheated to get there. Not trying to claim that y'all cheated just that was everybody's opinion at the time

What's funny about LSU deserving the national title? I don't know if you know but LSU beat Alabama on Nov.5. LSU won the west division and the SEC. If Alabama
wins on Jan. 9. They will still have a worse record and far lesser strength of a schedule.

Yeah I have always pulled fr the SEC in ooc games, but after this year I can no longer do that. This year proves the BCS is broken and a 4-6 team playoff need to be implemented. When a 1 loss conference champ is left out for a team that didn't even win their division it shows the process is broken. Also it proves you dont need te SEC to be strong to get put in te title game. Bama has beaten a total of 3 teams with above .500 winning %. So no we don't need the SEC to be strong like it has been. I know I'm gonna hear shite from the Bama fans on here but if the shoe was on the other foot, y'all would be livid if a 1 loss sec champ Bama was left out for a 1 loss PAC 12 team that didn't win their division.

Most were pulling for the Ducks because everyone thought y'all had bought Cam Newton. Y'all did too its just no evidence to suggest otherwise.
