We are getting manhandled by the ACC and Pac12.

Only 2 teams in Omaha and one is because they played another SEC team. MSU won’t win today so don’t count on us. Our marquee team that ran through the conference like a hot knife through butter was beaten by an average NC State team.

Our conference is overhyped imo

I think there’s a trend of the SEC valuing anyone who can throw 95+ over guys who can actually throw strikes and get guys out. Our lineup looks confused when they face a guy who consistently throws strikes and doesn’t gift us base runners.

I still think it takes a 7 game series in baseball to know who the best team is..that would hurt arkansas ,not sure about nc state..

Arkansas had some glaring issues if we were paying attention. They didnt have the starting pitching. What's impressive to me is running the team through a relief /closer

Nc state is pretty much identical to lsu...based on how the two teams regular season started and they got a bit hotter than us but the acc isnt as deep . They started 1-8 in conference play just like lsu did

Hell, having two teams in a super regional, that started 1-8 in conference, has to be rare

We had enough but they got injured in the postseason. But everyone deals with injuries. You have to overcome them.

Arguably the best team in the ACC and maybe the country in the second half of the year

Yeah nc state turned it on at the end of the season ..I think they always had a good team though.

Where as lsu kinda got a break in the schedule towards the end but both did start 1-8 and I'm bringing it up again to see if yall think it's as rare as it seems to make a super after that kinda start. how rare is it for two teams to make supers in the same year with that start

Maybe it's just the SEC West that is overrated. 1/4 of the field will be SEC East teams.

Please beat Notre Dame. It's bad enough that they are media darlings in football every year.

NC State was hot down the stretch. You get it down to game three, and at that point it's not always about the best team. Ole Miss has been hot and cold all year and just ran into an AZ team that is better than many think. Vanderbilt made it on their pitching, but has some weaknesses elsewhere. Notre Dame/MSU should be a good game today, but ND is a lot better than anticipated. I've heard their coach speak on hitting, and he's one of the more articulate baseball coaches I've had the pleasure to listen to.

Tennessee has all the pieces for a good run in Omaha.

Turn in your coat. Win or lose, I'll guarantee your kids don't think like that. Pathetic.

With 11.5 scholarships college baseball teams aren’t built for best of 7 series. Even an event like the SECG with so many games crammed together in a few days isn’t ideal.

This all day long. It's been my complaint about Mississippi State all season. Tons of arm talent, but very few pitchers. We don't have any Peyton Plumlee's or Denver McQuary types on this squad that just locate and compete without overwhelming stuff.

Tennessee was a good case of this a couple years ago. I think in one game they brought in relievers back to back who both threw 100. Everyone raved about their talent but against disciplined batters, they had to throw strikes and they couldn’t locate pitches. It was free pass or a meatball.

That’s probably preferable to a guy that’s painting 88 if you’re running a farm team but to win big in college baseball you need guys that get people out, period.
