I can't imagine why fans would ever want a coach to be fired. That'd be like fans wanting a backup QB instead of the starter.

Just preposterous.

I think you misunderstood me when I said "about to win ten". I was referring to our bowl game this year. That'd mean 4 of 5 with ten wins.

I predict we go 9-3 next season also with a bowl game to put us at ten or not.

Not a dumpster fire. Mired in "good but not great"? Sure

Definitely not a dumpster fire.

As someone with no biases toward UGA either way, I don't blame them one bit. I don't think it was unreasonable. At a certain point you would rather go for it even if it means possibly one day becoming a dumpster fire, rather than be mired in mediocrity. It's understandable.

Pretty fair assessment.

10 wins with a first year HC....?

Its been so long since UGA has changed coaches either you're too young or you've forgotten what changing coaches does to a program. Even Saban had a bad first year. Its possible, but the exception to the rule.

How is Miss St a dumpster fire? Did I miss something the last few days?

Mullen contacting schools like Miami and trying to get out of Starkville and Dak Prescott leaving are two reasons State might be considered a dumpster fire. Think recruits want to hear that their HC is sending out resumes?

I'm no Vol fan, but Butch Jones and Hugh Freeze were each one play away from playing for the SEC Title in Atlanta this year.
