A huge chunk of Princetons "titles" came in years where there were like 5-10 teams and they all played like 1-3 games each.
The rules weren't even standardized until the early 1900's, different regions played with different rules regarding scoring, # of players, etc.
The very concept of a "national champion" and didn't even come into being until the mid 1920's, when papers and the media and public began actually wondering who the best was, as at that point college football had swept the whole country.

CFDW weighs the modern era more heavily when factoring in national titles - which is why LSU's title in 2007 is worth more than the one in 1908.

That is ridiculous. It's humorous to watch people on a message board react when they get their feelings hurt.
One of the first, and it never fails, reactions is to accuse the poster of being someone else.
It's as if they believe that is the ultimate comment and it can't really be refuted because, well, they said so and they have figured it out.
In the cloistered minds of people like you, Korin, no new posters ever arrive. And if they do, they couldn't possibly have the sophistication to challenge a regular because regulars are always genuine intellectuals.

The NCAA does not recognize selectors.

The NCAA does not use secret code words like "consensus selectors" to indicate that they support the idea of NC's in the FBS division of college football.
There can not be multiple consensus selectors or multiple consensus choices for a NC. A majority of selectors choose a consensus champion.
A consensus selector can not be one, it has to be more than one.
Arkansas were not consensus anything in '64. That honor belonged to Alabama.
