Auburn fans are some sneaky sons of bitches.
Was at the big LSU tailgate last year, went to the bathroom and some girls at an auburn tailgate called me over.
They offered my jello shots and told me it was just malibu, so I took a few and talked with them. As I was leaving, they me it wasn't malibu but everclear.
Ended up passing out on a tree by the big lsu tailgate.

Good thing you were at Auburn, where Bama fans aren't around to take advantage of you.

SEC football stadium tour.

Anybody have any tips on bad fan bases? I'd likely bring my girl to alot of these games and we don't mind teasing or heckling but I don't wanna bring her somewhere where we'll have stuff thrown at us or anything like that. Ill just bring a guy friend to games like those.
The shear irony that a LSU fan would post this is beyond comical.
Yeah. Guess all those tents and canopies where visiting fans can be seen tailgating with Tiger fans every home game just like...never happen.
It's all a mirage.
8,000 visiting fans claw their way through a barrage of fresh fish, chaise lounges, bowling balls, window frames, car bumpers, 10 pound hams, etc. just to make it to their seats.
Course, so few Bulldogs visit Death Valley anymore they have to make up crap to justify their existence.
BTW, what exactly is "shear" irony. Are you a lawn and garden man?

I've only been to Neyland when it was empty back in 2005. Way different than it does now (i think they got rid of the hedges too).
I'd love to go games at most of the SEC venues.

The Bama game last season couldn't hold a candle to the 2007 UF or 2003 UGA games.
It was the loudest Death Valley was all season, but I wouldn't rank it in my overall top 5.
I've been to all of the SEC football stadiums except for Mizzou, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Other than LSU, my top 2 favorites are USCe and UGA.

I have been to all the stadiums except the two new guys...Hope to go to TAMU this year.... Depends on how you want to rank them, but...
Nicest-Bama
Best Overall atmosphere-LSU
Best Tailgate - Ole Miss
Hardest to get into - UGA (go early).
Most Obnoxious - Gators
Coldest - Arkansas
Worse - Vandy
ETA: Also thought USCe was weird as it was not connected to the school but was at the fairgrounds...

Ok it may not have been the loudest the whole game, but the tension and suspense were incredible; and I have never seen so many people on campus and in the stadium. It was standing sardine only.
The whole day you could cut the tension with a knife. The campus must have had 175,000+ people.
The joy and eruption after Landry's TD catch and OBJ's first down catch to the Bama 28 were awesome.
Too bad we couldn't finish them off. Then it easily would have been the greatest game in DV history, or at least in the top 3.
From where we sat in the Southeast corner, it just seemed at least as as loud as UF '07 and USC '79.

If you're planning a trip to Kyle Field, I would suggest you consider upcoming construction. This season will be the last of "old" Kyle Field. I'd make an effort to see it before it changes. 2014 and 2015, while construction should not be ongoing, will be part of the transition to the "new" Kyle.
I'm hoping the game day atmosphere, while special already, is even better. The amenities certainly will be.

Not many Stadiums in the SEC were built in a natural creek valley & had the Univ. grow up around it so that it's shoehorned into the middle of campus like ours is but it's one of the things that makes tailgating in Athens so awesome...

One stadium I have been to but would go back to is Tennessee. I was there for a Bama Tenn game in 2009. It was over by the late 2nd quarter.
You might want to go back to Neyland when they are actually playing a game. UT/Bama was in Tuscaloosa in '09.

I have been to all SEC stadiums except, USC, Missouri and Texas AM.

Auburn vs Florida 1989 Reggie Flack late TD pass
Florida vs Tennessee Payton Mannings last trip to Gainesville
LSU vs Florida 1997 Tigers knock off UF
Alabama vs Florida 1992 SEC championship in neutral Birmingham
Florida vs Georgia 1984 Bell to Nattiel breaks loosing streak to UG

One of the big reasons I was so glad we got out of B12...
Went to Ole Miss this past year and had more fun than any B12 roadie. Great fans, cool atmosphere etc. Stadium is a little on the run down side at least where we were, but loud and into the game. Very SEC like which if very un B12.
Trying to make Ark & LSU this year. Drove by LSU last Spring Break, and Tiger Stadium also looks very run down. However, I have zero doubt that matters once the sun goes down and the lights go on. Can't wait.

No flame: I have always thought that UGA's and Clemson's stadiums are similar. Open on one end and sort of sunk in the ground.

Must have.
A few years ago I would have agreed that most of the stadium looked run down, but after the recent renovations I don't see that being the case. The south endzone looks pretty crappy but that won't matter once the expansion is finished.

both are built into natural contours of the landscape. The creek still flows under Sanford. First year players used to have to walk it all the way into the cemetery at night as a rite of passage. but you are right. It takes a special game for the stadium to get really loud. The UGA -LSU 2004 was as loud as I ever heard it. The crowd noise truly was deafening down near the field. My other favorite game was the 2005 Au game even though UGA lost. God, that game was just insane the whole way through.

Agreed... People say the AU blackout game was one of the the loudest but '04 LSU was un-frickin- believable...
Also going old school in a loss the 1985 Bama-UGA was unreal loud...Watch the last minute...

I have been to a lot of road games in the SEC and have never been subjected to anything more than a few Go [fill in the home team]! and Bama Sucks!
In my opinion if you don't douche it up, act like an idiot, you don't have any trouble. Just take the good natured ribbing and deal with it on the road.
In the South, very few fan bases are in your face aggressive. I mean, UF my chomp or whatever but nobody is doing anything more than competitive spirit unless you are being a Douche Canoe
In the North, that is a different ball game. If talk trash back to them they are assholes
