$25,000 for violating artificial noisemakers provisions. Lay down the cow bells and step away...
EDIT: NB4germans...blasted cell phone slowed me down.

They're going to take them away eventually. State said they would get them under control and they haven't been able to.

this is less than we were fined last year so you are wrong

Yeah, wasn't it 75k last year?

I didn't think we were fined at all last year? I know we got fined the first year of the compromise in 2011...
I knew we were going to get fined this year. Took a big step backwards in the enforcement of the cowbell compromise this year. Probably due to having more night games. I wish our fanbase would realize how much louder DWS gets when we yell. The bells are loud in the stands -- but the sound goes up and away from the field.

Then why bring cowbells at all?

Personally, I don't bring a cowbell to games, but I'd guess tradishun

To annoy opposing fanbases that dare enter DWS -- and use them as weapons to ruin unsuspecting, innocent OM fans' lives.
Or maybe because it's just a fun tradition in the stands that is unique to us?
Talk to anyone that has ever been field level and they will tell you the same thing. The bells have very little effect down there and are way less disruptive than yelling.
The consistently loudest game I've ever been to in DWS -- Arky 2011 -- was also probably the best-followed cowbell compromise game we've had...

If y'all boys knew what the girls at the Pony do with those cowbells, you'd be big fans.

some schools have good football programs, some just ring cowbells.

Some sort of decorations that they then put on Pinterest? Count me in.
If y'all only knew what our boys do to our other boys.

They need to up the fine, that's a drop in the bucket relative to their annual football revenue.
