I sure hate giving them any ideas since they're sold on the Tom Herman pipe dream.
However, I have no confidence in their admin making a smart hire so let's talk about the coaches that would be a bad thing for us in Baton Rouge.
First, I'm going with PJ Fleck at Western Michigan, young guy, doesn't have a problem with signing thugs as long as they can play. He's raised the talent level at W. Michigan they've knocked off some bigger programs already this season. With what the LSU job offers he could do really well there.
Second, Larry Fedora. I don't think he's that great of a coach but he's better than average. He'd know what to do with the offensive talent they always stockpile. Fedora would have issues hiring top assistants but LSU throws money at assistant coaches like no other. Fedora running a wide open offense with LSU's talent would be tough to bottle up.
Third, Justin Fuente. Pretty much the same scenario as Fedora but he's a better recruiter and more aggressive.
Fourth, Dan Mullen. The guy can coach, he's brought Mississippi St. up from the gutter of the SEC, he's having some post-Dak issues that we all expected to come but the guy knows his stuff, he's been around the conference long enough to have built up some solid recruiting connections and pair that with the blind love of Louisiana coaches for LSU you've got a guy that could likely get results quickly.
Fifth, Willie Taggart. The guy would use BLM and racist recruiting tactics against all of us. He'd cause a toxic rift between all the schools and he'd win recruiting battles and build a sick team in Baton Rouge. He's aggressive on offense and lax on D. Outscoring a Taggart team isn't an easy proposition.

PJ Fleck would be high on my list, but boosters want a big name so it won't happen.

Never heard of the guy, but Willie Taggart sounds like a nightmare.
Count me out on that one no matter how much he would win
Sounds like the type that would use our brand to promote BS. he'd have our players run out before the national anthem and kneel.

Engelbert Humperdinck. He has the whole creepy frozen face thing going and while he is no Wayne Newton or
Tom Jones he has that unwholesome thing that bayou people like.
He is just macabre enough to make LSU a national champion. Him or Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies.
