SEC Fan Acceptance of Texas and Oklahoma

Mizzou and AnM are on year 12 of being in the SEC and most people still don't accept them.
When will OG SEC fans accept Texas and Oklahoma?
Just speaking for myself, I'd have rather accepted them in 2012 over Mizzou and TAMU.

All I’ve seen is team fans dickriding on Bama, LSU or GA. We don’t need no acceptance, its us vs world. And none of that gay SEC chant stuff either.

I'm only speaking for myself, but the vast majority if not all Texas alums/fans I know don't really care about conference acceptance. In my mind acceptance is earned, and more hate simply means you're probably doing something right to the detriment of other teams in the conference. So in that sense, bring it on!
I'd say Vandy gets very little hate in the SEC, right? Sure they get made fun of from time to time (like aggy lol) but nobody truly hates the teams that are perennial whipping boys for everyone else.

Don’t get me wrong, I am THRILLED to be in the SEC, but do not expect us to beg for acceptance the way 7&6 and MizzOU have.
We have prior experience being hated by an entire conference (see little 12/hateful 8).

That thread didn't get the traction I was going for, so I abandoned it. If someone else bumps it, I'll jump back in.

I'd consider Texas as SEC before Oklahoma and I damn sure still don't feel right referring to Texas A&M as an SEC team. At least Texas is a powerhouse from time to time but Oklahoma? Even Mississippi State is going to upset Oklahoma from time to time

Clemson and FSU should be SEC.
May be soon enough.

Don't think the teams in question get it, you will not be disliked for dominating a conference like you have...because you will be mediocre...it's will you be accepted and not perceived as outsiders...TX and their giant ego fan base will not be anytime soon...I predict OK will blend right in

I'm not sure I like what college football is becoming, but I can't do anything about it. I think NIL and the portal are creating football free agency. Right now, there aren't any real rules or caps.
However, I don't have a problem with either Texas or Oklahoma becoming part of the SEC. They'll both have to win on the field, court and diamond; and if they do, then the league is that much stronger.
Not fond of players just pulling up stakes, at least not more than once. Need to have some guidelines that make sense.

Texas and Okie seem to have settled in around here as conference members. Sure, they tried too hard early on, but they’re alright.

They are bigger brands and will probably be accepted sooner. And I haven't seen many of their fans bragging about how they are going to come in a "take over the conference." I don't have anything against Mizzou. They're kind of bland and boring but I don't have anything against them. I didn't have anything against A&M until they joined the conference and their fans stormed in like a bunch of retards bragging about how they were going to "take over the SEC". They've toned it down more in recent years since they've been put in their place, but in the beginning they were obnoxious as hell.
