There's 10 teams in the Big12...within 10-15 years, IMO, you will see:
4 to the Pac12
1 to the Big10, +Mizzou from the SEC
2 to the ACC
And 3 to the SEC
You may see 2 of the 3 going SEC actually ACC teams, and hence the ACC picking up 4 from the Big12 and SEC getting 0-2 from Big12.
There is no doubt in my mind though that the Big12 will not last forever in the current setup. We will end up with four 16-team power conferences.
It's on down the road, though. 10+ years away.

Absolutely not.

Possibly not, but there's no doubt in my mind the next round of shuffling down the road is the death of the Big12 and those 10 teams scattering across the country to form 4 16-team leagues. If Mizzou doesn't leave, then the SEC pickups will likely be all from the ACC and 4 Big12 teams to the ACC

I don't think they will. I live here and while they may have flirted with the B1G before, they're all in with the SEC now.

I sincerely hope this is the case
In the meantime, I'll continue to revel in their relative marginalization

We won't be adding teams from states that already have SEC schools in them. In the contract with Comcast (and I bet it is similar with the other providers) the SEC Network gets $1.40 per subscription within the SEC footprint, and $0.25 per outside the footprint. That is a major difference, and the reason that Mizzou is now a SEC school and not FSU.

If we had to add two, perhaps NC State and Oklahoma State (OU if they'd come).

This has been established. SEC is not expanding soon, but if we do expand, then it will be a North Carolina school and a Virginia school - unless the tv money landscape changes.

I was just curious IF (and that's a big IF) the SEC does go ahead and pick up two more teams for the conference who would you like it to be?

This has been pointed out time and time again and people do not listen. They think it is some fantasy game "ZOMG LETS PUT FSU & TEXAS IN!" Do you think they expanded to Missouri for their great football prowess? They did it for Kansas City and St. Louis viewers.

Honestly adding average and mediocre teams like Mizzou, aTm or garbage teams like Arky and USCjr are our only options. We will never add a Top program from another conference...

Virginia Tech and NC St.
Missouri moves to the West.
End Thread.

It's all about money. When you can add $1.40 per subscriber in a different state (like NC or VA) from taking one school, or $0 from taking a school from a state that we already have that $1.40 coming in from, which route do you think the SEC leader are going to go? The logic is really not that hard to understand.
The next expansion will be teams from NC and VA, which will have to occur after the ACC grant of rights expire.

2 to the ACC
Who would the ACC get? They're already "@ 15" with ND.

Im thinking the dumbass commish from ACC may have outsmarted Slive & others with that concocted/sideways ND deal. All teams but football are now full blown into ACC comp. Just like Louisville gets to play ND in football this year -- big boost to their schedule. They were the big plum and the old boy may have scooped it up.
As they say, even a blind hawg finds an acorn ever now and then (no offense to the arkys)
I hate to think it is all TV $$$. I know it is, but there is something about traditional rivalries,,, of course I am old enough to remember Leonard Losers call FSU the Semi-Holes, etc
