"You would think so, but that's always the problem. They think they "deserve" the handout for whatever reason."

Hey dipshit aTm fans the SEC LET YOU JOIN our conference. You wouldn't be raking in an extra $40 mill per year being Texas's bitch if we hadn't LET YOU IN the conference. Sit in the fricking corner with your weird arse traditions and enjoy the extra money we are letting you have.

I could see a period of contraction and consolidation. Maybe even the creation of a NFL lite single league of the top 50 or so programs.

You sound like the Texas fans you ran away and hide from. It's our conference and our SECNetwork paying you your share. You signed up for it. You should be the one saying thank you not us bruh. We get your Texas cable dollars with or without your Faggies included because TCU, Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech, SMU all would kill to be in your position. Be grateful we let you in.

Jason Miracle ?@vol1977
@BruceFeldmanCFB @DBL_L_01 Tennessee will probably spend $38 million of it on a search firm, and then hire Fulmer anyway.

There are a whole lot of Longhorn, OU. and Baylor fans paying their $1.30 monthly just like the rest of us because the SEC has a representative in Texas.

I am surprised the big12 trolls weren't drawn to this thread like flies to shite. They can not resist a dick measuring contest.

The bottom line is the SEC has produced the best brand of football since the BCS and the CFP have been instituted. The tv deals and advertising money will follow the best football being played and the most viewers. The longhorn network concept was created (and destroyed the BIG 12) when UT was nationally relevant. Alabama is the most nationally relevant program year after year and SEC football is still the best football being played on the field.until that changes, all schools in the SEC will benefit.

It's ironic the same people who hate socialism are okay with it when it comes to Universities sharing the pie and Football/Basketball sharing with the other sports.

Wow, you are a true genius. Short, pithy, without a hint of nuance.

The perfect pitch for a generation attuned to one liners.

I also have to compliment you on the way you neatly categorize people who don't share your ideology (just guessing here, winkie winkie) into comfy boxes.

It's obvious right? I mean the bad people are all 100% dyed in the wool, mouth breathing, hard core capitalists. True believers that hate social security and anything reeking of socialism. They live and breathe anything that falls from the lips of Ron Paul.

Not a pragmatist in the bunch right? In between picking boogers from their noses and inserting their finger in their mouth, they mumble something about "Those old ladies in West Virginia... useless! They gotta go! Get rid of Social Security, now dammit!"

And they hate, hate the Fed right? (Well I do. I'd actually like to see only 100% born again Christians with a deathly hatred of both Goldman Sachs and Mammon appointed to posts there. Or Mormons, whatever. But they gotta hate Wall Street and Mammon.)

Thing about that, is that revenue from athletics is chicken feed frankly.

If you look at endowments, it is almost the inverse of your list.

A&M is by far the wealthiest school (oil lease money, though mostly residual stuff now from investments made with that money)
Vanderbilt
Missouri (Florida possibly could have a bigger endowment, would have to look it up).

Basically well heeled alumni do more for a school's bottom line than athletics. Will say the closer you get to the old industrial heartland the better finances look for schools.

Missouri should return theirs. They suck everywhere and no one wants to watch them.
