I like this thread. However, you realize that Mizzou would dominate your hypothetical division A, right?

Isn't the whole point to shift Mizzou to a division where they cannot dominate and thus restore order to SEC ego?

The divisions are fine the way they are. West teams need to stop coming up with this bullshite to get away from Bama.

Of course coming from a fan of the team in the East this is the best possible solution.

Getting rid of Alabama is not the point, balancing the divisions geographically and in terms of competition is.

For LSU it is

But we are busy preparing for a huge bowl game in Beaumont Texas against a top 100 Sun Belt team.

Add Oklahoma and Okie State and divide into four pods:

Western Conference
North Division
Oklahoma
Oklahoma St.
Mizzou
Arkansas

South Division
LSU
A&M
Ole Miss
Miss. State

Eastern Conference
North Division
USCe
Tennessee
Kentucky
Vandy

South Division
Auburn
Alabama
Georgia
Florida

Nine-game schedule; play each team in division plus two each (rotating) from all other divisions.

Should probably have two South and two East pods.

SEC. SEC. SEC.

Should we realign every time one division has a run where it is better than the other division?

Half-baked thought process here. Not bad for an LSU fan.

Bama's fixing to change this misconception starting about 24 hours from now.

speaking of expansion..

North Carolina is due for a real azz beating from the NCAA for their massive cheating scandal, will that effect which team the ACC would rather dump at all? I still think it will be NC St but that may change the equation somewhat, depending on the severity.

If you're splitting instate teams, why did you put Tenn. & Vandy in Div. B?

There was a little talk a while ago about bring in a few more teams and dividing the SEC into four divisions and having a 2 round play off.

HELL NO to a playoff in the SEC. You do pods & the best out of each pairing goes to the SECCG.
Year 1 - AB winner vrs. CD winner
Year 2 - AC winner vrs. BD winner
Year 3 - AD winner vrs. BD winner

So why is the last 5 years your sample size?Nobody was bitching in the 90's and early 00's when the east was dominate,

There's no evidence out there that Ole Miss and MSU are going to sustain their success,

SEC FB is cyclical,You think AU does anything in '10,'13 and if not for QB's that got kicked out of other SEC EAST schools?

I say leave it like it is now but do away with permanent cross divisional rivalries. Make it a true rotation where each team from one division plays each team from the other division on an equal rotating schedule.

If two teams from different divisions insist on playing each other for the sake of "tradition", they can schedule that game as one of their out of conference games in years they are not scheduled to play.

Not True. Ole Miss and Mississippi St. will soon return to the dumpster from whence they came.

& please tell us who should come East so Mizz. can go West. It ain't going to be Auburn.
