Would Stoops at Kentucky consider the job?

Maybe. I feel comfortable saying though that he enjoys living within short distance of his former stomping grounds (Ohio) and would possibly hold out for a program that has some better administrative support than Miami. Who knows though. I think they have a few on their list that would take it before him.

This Kentucky team is better than this Miami team. It would at this point be a demotion for Stoops.

I don't think it would be a demotion at all. Miami has a much greater football past than KY, and it would be much easier competition than in the SEC.

For all the grief he gets at UGA, it wouldn't surprise me to see him go there.

Yes it would. It would surprise everyone on earth, because it isn't going to happen.

Seems like the best choice. Miami can afford him, he has HC exp. and is an alumni. Has there been any talk of this in the media?

I'm wondering what big name coach would want to coach at Miami. It's just not the job some want to believe it is. The "fans" only support the team when they win. The administration gives them zero support. They have subpar facilities. It's just not a great job IMO. Sure, they have a good recruiting area, but that's about it. HCs with job security at good programs in P5 conferences would be foolish to leave their current positions to take the Miami job.

Other than a bigger name and easier schedule and a better recruit base, oh wait...why would he stay at Kentucky?

Richt & his entire extended family live in Athens.... Imma talking about 15+ family members. CMR won't move his family to that den of infidels called Miami/South Beach...

So you don't think he's grown tired of Bulldawg fans piling on him every single year?

Only 7 coaches have won 2 SEC titles in their first 5 years, Richt is one of them. Only 7 have 4 straight 10-win seasons, Richt is one of them.

During his tenure the SEC has had Spurrier, Saban, Miles, Fulmer, Meyer - three of those in the same division as Richt.

Yet UGA fans treat him like garbage.

With his salary, moving expenses are chump change.

lulz. do think richt reads tigerdroppings? Richt is treated like a damn king in Athens.

He has a wife and 4 kids that have lived here for 15 years. His extended family is here, he has been adamant for 15 years strong now that he isn't taking any job after UGA, and at this point in life he's getting close to packing things up and beign done. He isn't going to leave UGA to start over in the shithole that is miami where he has less support, less resources, less fan backing, and less talent than he has here.

I've only seen Bruce Feldman's top 11 candidates and he was #1. But it's only a prediction.
