Those of us who are members of the SEC and our respective fanbases are privileged. We have sports second to none and a long history and tradition of excellence. We are also extremely fortunate financially, with wealthy institutions and wealthy alumni. The time has come to give back. There are those out there who have suffered and continue to suffer. They aren't considered equal and they lack the means or ability to properly support themselves. I think we can change that. We can make things better and help bring true equality.

So I want all of you to dig down deep and find it in your hearts to donate a spare National Championship to Mississippi State, as the only SEC member institution that does not have one.

You might want to check out the Pac 12's tradition of excellence first before saying that you are second to none

Anyway good luck with your charity

1941- We're claiming it.

quote:

The 1941 national championship is a fairy tale. Alabama (9-2) had lost to Mississippi State (SEC champs) and Vanderbilt. The Tide finished ranked 20th in the Associate Press Poll, behind four SEC teams.

quote:

How can you be a national champion when you do not win your conference, were ranked 20th and had two more losses than the consensus champion?

Gumps and all of their fake NCs.

Why are you bringing us into this? 75 years without an sec SEC championship is pretty pathetic. It's not surprising that you're from Mississippi. As if being from that infected starfish of a state wasn't punishment enough.

If anything you should be kissing our arse. We gave you Stingray.

The pac 12 plays a shite ton of sports the SEC doesnt. Take those out and recalculate. I bet it's a lot closer.
